Sorry if I'm running late to the 'party,' but accessing my soapbox right now is proving to be 'problematic,' at best, and I've been suffering with a sudden toothache for the last few days; I'm tired, hurting, and slow, due to the unnatural amount of ibuprofen required to make it okay... -ish. Nevertheless, with a few antibiotics, and a lot of time in the unconscious state, I should be fine... soon... -ish. Anyway, I really wanted to say this yesterday, but I just didn't feel up to posting, so I need to say it today, hopefully before two... -ish... your show really rocked, Carl... I only caught the end, but hay... I started off with "She's Crafty" by the Beastie Boys (wooooo-hooooo... lol), and then I even got some "Stairway"...  Just as it was turning two o'clock, I thought to myself, 'Well, that was great... I got everything but my AC/DC...' and what do you know? Hells bells... lol... It couldn't have been any better, really. I also wanted to point out that a certain line in 'Stairway to Heaven' hit me yesterday... in light of my recent post concerning 'smoke signals'... In my thoughts, I have seen

And the voices of those who stand looking...And, of course, I couldn't help smiling... Now, as far ac 'Cry, Sister,' goes... been there. Done that. How about a little something different...? That would be pretty great,- I expect it Will Be. Be right back. |

So, before I go on with a few other things, can I quickly point out for you the 'M' symbol on the video above, inserted after the word, 'Enjoy.' I think I've pointed out this 'M' symbol for you before, and the connotations that it carries, as well as the connections that I can make 'with it.' The 'trick' here, as with most other things, is to 'turn that frown upside-down,' so to speak... And, hay Viola... lolol... We have a 'W'... ...and that's a horse of a whole other color, I believe. It's the 'egregore' that's the thing, here... not individuals, particularly, although some individuals are particularly active in the 'egregore;' this is the 'Corporation' that my friend was referring to in the Ah-Pook quote... it is, as he says, his favorite part of the quote. Personally, I find it to be the most disturbing part, since... there is a certain amount of 'strength' to be had in 'numbers,' and this turns out to be a frighteningly large 'corporation.' I'm going to refer to it with another appellation that belongs to my friend, that I always found to be particularly appropriate to the situation... 'The Great Satan Corp.' Lolol... Sadly, they have a lot of large stockholders. Mostly, they're not interested in any sort of 'mergers,' so... you see the problem. And, frankly... I still want my nickel back. |

I'd like to say something, in answer to a question from a radio-show listener that goes by the 'name' of 'Throbbit Missionary,'who emailed in a problem that he was currently having with... a lot of things, evidently.
Now, I hate to always seem so 'cynical,' but right away, I smell a rat... a big rat. I think your 'friend' is being used as a set-up for a lawsuit to have somebody's broken jaw repaired... in other words, he's being played for a 'patsy' for the second time; the first time being when his 'friend' had sex with his mother... I don't care what her excuse was. He wasn't on medication... at least, not the same medication, unless it was a real party. That's just not a 'friendly' thing to do... or, like having sex with one of your mother's friends, conversely... couldn't it be somebody else's mother? Somebody that wasn't your 'friend,' say...?
The thing is, his 'remorseful' buddy wasn't so remorseful about it that he said anything right away, was he? Nope... how long ago was it? And he is suddenly seized with such Great remorse that nothing will suffice, but physical punishment, in the form of a 'face punch.' Hmmmmm...
The 'listener' tried to 'reason' with him, to no avail... he literally begged for it. Well... why so persistent?, that's what I'm thinking...
And no sooner does he develop a fracture does his 'righteous remorse' cease... now, he is (regretfully) advising his 'friend' that when he got what he asked for, he gave his 'friend' a whole new set of problems...
That seems 'friendly.'
Actually, it seems more like a set-up; cover your 'ass,' so to speak... if you can. Try not to forget that it might have even been your mother... and, I don't suppose there were any witnesses...
It sounds as if you were definitely provoked...

Well, Carl... howzit? Lolol... I was just getting up to the realization that this was the 21st, and the fact that I didn't feel too bad, considering I worked all night... again... one more tonight, and then a couple of days 'off,' so I will look forward to some interesting posting, I hope. For your sake, anyway... I wasn't sure if I wanted to start right away, but hay... that 'request' for Tommy the Cat did its 'magic' on me (Great timing)... and, yes, all my friends know the Werewolves of London (by reputation, at least... lol...) and then the Sleeping Beauty by Perfect Circle clinched it for me. I just had to say 'thanks'... personally, I'm looking forward to a Great Day... So, right now, I'm on the 'lunch hour run' (not my own, of course), and I'll be running again in just a few minutes, so I'm going to 'see' your American Band, and raise you Some Kind of Wonderful... I smiled just saying it... Can I get a witness...?  |

I've had the devil of a time accessing my forum tonight, but in spite of that, I'm going to try to get a response in anyway, due to the 'nature' of the topic... I've been listening to a 'radio show' in the evening, that features... Nikki Sixx (hay, I like the name, anyway)... and he was talking about 'blogging' and writing, generally, and songwriting, specifically,- subjects near and dear to my own heart... I, too, love to write... and the writing is just a product of my 'thinking,' and, as he said, 'creative observation,' let's call it... for me, words serve as something like colored pencils would serve another person to 'describe' their thoughts and observations. It is... an art form... and there are various ways in which you might apply yourself to that 'medium'... songwriting is one; I like to think of this journal as another. I hope, as, I'm sure, do the others that work to 'capture' their 'moments' of life, and the discovery process that they are involved in, that you find some enjoyment in it(at least), and maybe, even, find some meaning of your own in the 'mental sketches' that we create. They are even more satisfying when they are 'true' glimpses of life... seen through the lens of another man's eyes... don't you think? You know, it's true that 'a mind is terrible thing to waste;' and it's also true that the more you exercise it, the further you can stretch it... And, believe me, there is a lot to take in... This world is my/your 'laboratory,' and these are our 'notes;' maybe they will serve to inspire the work of another, even if they aren't a perfectly finished work, in and of themselves... and that would be perfectly wonderful, too, if you ask me... Sorry I'm late (again), but I'm having a real problem getting onto the forum, and then, I worked all night last night (my Friday), and consequently, I slept all day... and then a little bit longer. It doesn't really take much to make me feel bad anymore (lol)... I just get tired... body and spirit, sometimes. I wanted to post yesterday, just to let you know that I heard the story about Bill Cosby, and... well... There is a small amount of satisfaction in watching this particular 'golem' die; I can have no real sympathy for a man who uses jello and pudding pops to bait an unsuspecting public... and, I see it as a welcome 'sign' of things to come, if you Will... 'Sacred cows' and 'false icons,' welcome to the Apocalypse... |

Gosh, Carl(et al... lol), between the requests for 'Magic Man' and 'Bullet With a Name,' I very nearly lost it again; the desire to listen to the radio, that is... but, I understand... believe me, I do... And, as far as 'bullets with a name' go, now that was funny... Shot down, in a field... a 'potter's field,' maybe? I just thought I'd pass along something I could dance to, for a change... the other version that I wanted to post featured a chimp in cheap sunglasses, holding a revolver, but it won't play in this country... What does a girl have to do to get a monkey with a gun around here? I'm afraid to think of it... But, this is how you remind me... *Sigh* Dubstep... West side... |

I did want to get in a few words tonight, before I go on (to work... since this is my Friday 'night, but not in a 'good' way), and at this rate, that's all I'm likely to get in, anyway. Yesterday was one of those days that come, and you want to say that 'you didn't see that coming,' but... you really should have known... Personally, I can think of a lot of those days in my life already; I'm sure that you can think of other valid parallels. And, it's not that the changes are 'bad,' necessarily... it's just that they didn't come on your, or my, terms. They are not on schedule... and almost always unannounced. It's just kind of like losing your breath for a minute... while everything changes... in something like the 'twinkling of an eye.' And now, the 'new up is down,' so to speak... Just sayin'... It's to be expected, I guess... and I'm 'good.' |

Well, I may have time to get in a couple of words tonight, before I start work... I should have started sooner, but I've been... thinking. Things have been kind of 'heavy' on my mind, and heart, lately, and it seems as if I'm just kind of holding my breath for a minute, before something really... I don't know... unexpected?... happens... again. I have good things happening in my own life right now, mostly... and I'm really grateful for everything; I can't help thinking that things are set to improve, but there are other things... and I can't help thinking that they never really will... and what I should do about that. I was listening to your show last night, and decided that 'taking it to the streets' might not be a bad idea... I'm still thinking it over. At any rate, I wanted to say that the show last night after midnight was great... starting off with 'Rocket'... Rocket J.? Lol... and then there was 'Stars' (which, having heard the lyrics, I really do enjoy)... and 'Back in Black'... and... it was pretty perfect. Speaking of which, to 'Ben in Salem' (good Juju, I think... lol...) and his request for 'Primus,'- good work. The thing that I'm really wrestling with is... putting 'two' and 'two' together; I'm not much of an 'adder,' as it turns out. I'm just not sure it's adding up... But, hay, Nikki Sixx (and Jenn, two N's)... thanks for that 'Seven Nation Army'... that was just what I needed... That, and a little bit more of this... Joe Elliot... you rock, baby...
