Well, it's been a while since my last entry here, hasn't it? I've spent the last little while working... in many ways... and thinking... about many things. Mostly, I've been waiting for something; I wasn't even sure what that was, but now I know... I was waiting for... this day. This day, of all days... and it must have been this day, and no other, for on this day, I know... And more than anything else, what I know is this... You can call me 'Mr. Blackstone'... Lololol... We're really just getting started tonight, but let's begin with a Bang, shall we? Then, we can work ourselves up to a real Independence Day...  |

So, why is this day important? It's 7/1... in the US... which is just the reverse way of noting that the date is really 1/7 in Europe, and elsewhere; which makes it '17,' really, whether you look at it forwards or backwards... it doesn't matter today. It all adds up to 17... and 17 is a special number, in many, many ways. I'm going to be quoting from several sources tonight, in order to give you a basic understanding of where I'm headed; I'm sure that you're all going to find yourselves in some 'strange places' that have really not been charted, so to speak, since the Truth is... it's all been 'charted,' you know... from the Beginning. So, let's do that Emerson, Lake and Palmer tune again, because it's good 'mood music,' for one thing... and it takes us where we need to go. After all, in order to know your ending (and that's what you're all just dying to know, isn't it?), it has been (rightly) said that you need to understand your beginning. And quite plainly, it seems that none of you do. You know, I think I'll follow that with 'Lucky Man'... it seems appropriate, under the circumstances, and it 'opens the door' for a fuller explanation (symbolically) for my dearest 'Lucky, the Three-legged Dog.' This, too, has meaning unguessed at beneath the slightly personal joke... but you'll see, I hope... and hear, as well, if the Spirit is Willing... And 'Lucky'... get away from those four-leaf clovers... You'll fall over... ROFLOLOL... |

So, now, we have the number 17 specifically linked to the 'Son of Man,' who is, 'himself,' the subject of much contention, conjecture, and debate. I'm going to share with you here some of what I've uncovered on that score, since it seems timely... as well intriguing, don't you think? To start you off, I want to give you a quote from the book of Ezekiel... Get this... chapter 17... verses 1 & 2: Now, the Word of the Lord came to me, saying "Son of man, propound a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel..." Interesting, don't you think? He likes riddles... I find that amusing. That, and the fact that Romans, if not Rome, find 17 to be a number of ill omen... it doesn't bode well, in other words. And, oddly, Rome seems to be trepidatious at the thought of that which they ought to embrace... the coming of Messiah; the 'Son of Man.' Very odd (Od)... lolol... The 'Son of Man' is also mentioned in the book of Daniel, where we find this interesting application of the number 17... Daniel 7's beasts have seven heads and ten horns, for a total number of 17. They represent world-ruling powers from Daniel's time to the Second Coming of Jesus. The devil's end-time system (Revelation 13) will have seven heads and ten horns, which totals 17. All mankind will very soon obey and worship the devil and the Beast power. They will war against those who have faith in Jesus and keep the commandments, thus achieving a victory (though short-lived) against God's people (Revelation 13:1 - 8).
True Christians, however, will gain the ultimate victory over God's adversaries when he resurrects them back to life (Revelation 15:2; 20:4). One of the major themes of the Day of Atonement (commonly referred to as Yom Kippur), which occurs in the seventh Hebrew month on the tenth day, is the binding of Satan (see Revelation 20). The book of the Exodus contains (17+17)x(17+17)+57 or 1213 verses. It is 17x7 shorter than 666+666.Be sure to check those numbers... a couple of times if you need to. The Jewish law counts seventeen blessings.

The death of Osiris would have occurred at the 17th day of the month of Athyr according to the Egyptian mythology.
