About Daniel... and his revelations...

For some reason, I've been giving a lot of my thought lately to Daniel... otherwise known as Beltashazzar... and his interpretations of someone else's dreams; I'm not the only one, of course... even men such as Isaac Newton devoted a great deal of contemplation to just what it was that he was trying to say. Of course, we are told that the 'meaning' of these 'interpretations' were sealed, until the 'time of the end,' and so far, none of the 'translations' seem to have any real 'value' or relevance, maybe... and it further occurs to me that of all men on earth (so to speak), I should be the last to understand... except that... I kind of asked for some help with that.
And I think that I got some... a little help from a 'Friend'...
It's all about a tree... and an 'unbinding,' and a new shoot...
He was headed for Spain...
Well, here I come to add a little something to my 'reflections' on 'Daniel' and his prophecies, and what do I find but my old friend 'ayraman's' post on the same subject. I had to read that one over again, and will probably do that one more time, while I'm here... I do enjoy his posts, you know... and I'm often tempted to believe that he wrote the book of 'Numbers'... among other things...
I see that I was 'diverted' in this thread, somewhat, from the original 'message' that I have in regard to the above-mentioned 'tree'... that being of great importance, prophetically-speaking, and related to other statements in regard a certain 'tree' that were made by somebody else, at a point further down the line.
Now, these 'visions' that 'Daniel' was called to interpret were not his own... they were the visions, or dreams, of a Babylonian king named Nebuchadnezzar... Babylon, at that time, was a great world empire, and the king was very powerful. During his time in Babylon, Daniel's name was not given as 'Daniel,' but as 'Belteshazzar,' because Bel was the name given to 'God' in Babylon... even the name 'Zerubabbel' contains the name of Bel, since, as we have discussed previously, 'Zerubabbel' means 'seed of Babylon... interestingly, while we're on the subject, the name 'Babylon' actually contains two of the names for 'God,' as given in the three ancient languages, the two being 'Bel' and 'On.'
So, you see, my combination of Beljahaun as a 'better' name for 'God' is totally correct in essence, as well as the correct 'number' of letters included, which, let's face it, your 'Jahbulon' doesn't. You're at least one brick short of a load, brothers, and that thought makes me smile...
At any rate, Nebuchadnezzar has another dream, and this time it's about a tree... a big tree, which is hewn down and 'banded,' in order that it not 'die,' but be 'taken down,' so to speak, and 'contained' for a time... seven years, as a matter of fact; one year for each level of 'consciousness' that he has failed to pass through, perhaps, but at any rate, seven years... which is a very familiar number...
In the dream, the orders to hew down the tree are given 'by decree of the watchers and the holy ones'... and so it is done, in 'real time' as well. Now, this short phrase is quite provocative, since you have been led to believe that these 'watchers' were the 'bad guys,' in some context, at least, but here we have the term 'watchers' given in direct association with the 'holy ones,' so what do you suppose that means? And, they seem to be responsible for the issuing, and carrying out, of some pretty heavy-duty decrees. See what happened to the great king, Nebuchadnezzar... from the 4th chapter of the book of Daniel... or Belteshazzar... and beginning with the 4th verse...
4 I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace: 5 I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. 6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream. 7 Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.
8 But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying, 9 O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof. 10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great. 11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth: 12 the leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it. 13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven; 14 he cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches: 15 nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth: 16 let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. 17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. 18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
The last bolded part is very important, since it 'sets the stage' for later events...
To begin with the 'watchers' and the 'holy ones' seem to be the ones 'calling the shots,' even as far as the great king of world empire such as Babylon is concerned... which, again, should cause you to wonder, at least, about the true 'nature' of these 'watchers,' and what they might decide needs to be done next... by demand of the 'word' of the 'holy ones'...
Which reminds me... I found 'Hobart the Dolphin boy'... no, really... here it is...
This is the Celtic god Dylan, 'child of the waves, as depicted in antiquity... the 'caption' with this reads, 'oh what a syncretistic web we weave'... oh, indeed... 'Hobart the dolphin boy' came from an episode of Pinky & the Brain, in which one of the episodes (at least) is shown a can in their cage, labeled 'Kippers.'
Well, how do you like that...?
I like to call it 'serendiptiy'...
At any rate, I should get back to the 'dream,' and the interpretation... and on that 'note,' let's take a second look at the 'tree,' and the underlined portion of the passage regarding its description... sound familiar? It should...
We've talked about it before...
31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Matthew 13:31 (look, it's a palindrome...)
So, the 'kingdom of heaven' is like unto a seed... a mustard seed... very tiny, in other words, and yet... it becomes a tree, after the order of Nebuchadnezzar himself... and so, I have to suspect that this seed is the 'seed of Babylon,' just as I said, which is carried in the name of Zerubabbel, and just as it said, that it is this 'seed' which will 'finish the House'...
It will be very much a 'great day of small things'...
The binding of the 'stump' or 'root' (with iron and brass, which were definitely chosen for the symbolism, and not the 'materials,' per se, so we can discuss that upcoming) should be fairly obvious in its symbolism, but the 'good news' is that 'binding' is loosed, and the tree will grow once again, just as Nebuchadnezzar was 'loosed' after the passage of an 'appropriate period,' and returned to his own kingdom, with a message...
He giveth the kingdom to whomsoever He will... even the 'basest' of men...
And even 'base' works on a couple of 'levels'...
Oh, and ayraman... about that book of 'Numbers,' this being the 1144th post, and all...
The 4th book of the Bible, the book of Numbers, contains 1288 or 400+400+400+44+44 verses. It is 44 times more shorter than 3x444 or 666+666.
www.ridingthebeast.com/numbers/nu44.php
Lolol...
Numbers can be fun, I guess...
Now, I'll show you how 'Daniel' traveling to Spain ties in with Hobart the dolphin boy... you're not going to believe this... but, watch closely now... nothing up my sleeve...
I read that the Irish believe that their 'human' 'forbears' originally came from 'Spain'... now, that is interesting, since 'Spain' was an ancient designation for the 'underworld,' believe it or not... Think about that... and the Irish, of course, are the ancient Celts, from whom hails our Dylan, or Hobart the dolphin boy...
Ta daaaaaaa...
There's some real magic there, I just know it...
All will be redeemed...
Now, about the 'iron' and the 'brass,' which are familiar from yet another one of Nebuchednezzar's visions... or dreams...
Notice which 'kingdoms' or 'ages' are represented by the iron and brass... which may represent the 'periods' or 'places' in/by which the 'stump' was bound...
Now, notice that the winged lion is an especial symbol of Babylon... it represents that kingdom, in the diagrams here. Let me quote you something from the 'Final Prognostication of Paracelsus,' which you should find most enlightening, under the circumstances... I know that I did. I will emphasize the portions that you might pay special attention to...
'An old Lion will be bound and a young Lion will become free. He will please all those animals which the old had vexed.
'He will do even more, for he will change his mane and hair into silk.
'The Bear will lay snares, and the Ox-head will seek to gore him.
'The Griffin will fly over him but will not harm him.
'Then shall the Pearl, so long lost, be found by one of humble estate, and will be set, as a jewel, in gold.
'It will be given to the Prince of all beasts, that is, to the right Lion.
'He will hang it about his neck, and wear it with honour.
'He will resist the Bear and the Wolf, and rend them asunder; so that the beasts of the forest shall be safe.
'Then will the Old Art flourish and no heed will be given to the New.
'Then will the New World begin, and the White and the Black shall disappear.
'All Vain glory will be ended, and the plumes of the bird of the East shall be burnt by the Sun of the South.
'How then will it be with thee, Oh thou Lion and earthly one who art painted and bound with gold?
'All thy doings shall be changed, and the seven heads shall become one head.
'Out of this one, a head shall be born that shall be armed with a horn.
'This horn shall bruise all that which has so long brought sorrow to Iffinos.
An 'old lion' is bound, and a 'young lion' is set free...
It just keeps getting better, don't you think...?
Hit it, boys...
Hay, Phil... you rock...
...and, I, too, come from a 'land down under'...
Spain...
Roflol...
And speaking of the 'land down under' and Spain, did you know that at least some of the ones that occupied the 'underworld' were known to have one eye? It's true... according to the Celts, and then, of course, there is the Cyclops legend. And so, you see, in deference to those occupants of the 'land down under,' that 'single eye' is displayed on our currency...
Truth is often very much stranger than fiction, and the reason for that should be obvious by now...
Art can only imitate Life, after all...
I do have something to say on the subject of 'love,' as well, which I've been giving some serious thought to... this being the subject of some 'contention' here, to say the least... but that's for another thread.
I digress... again. My apologies. I'd like to play some Nirvana music right now, but I'll just get on with it for a minute, since I have a lot of ground to cover with this one...
As to the brass...
n the following scripture of Daniel, he is describing his vision of Christ. Daniel used symbols of lightning, lamps of fire, polished brass and the voice of a multitude to represent the appearance of Christ.
Jesus always referred to Himself as the Son of Man, when asked by others as to His identity. Jesus was fully man, but without sin, as He was also the Son of God. But, Jesus wanted every person on the earth to see their kinship with Him as a member of the species of man. Then we can better relate to our own kinship with God as a child of God through Christ Jesus.
Daniel 10:6 (KJV) - His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
"Polished" (Strong's Concordance - Hebrew) #7044 - qalal (kaw-lawl'); from #7043; brightened (as if sharpened).
#7043 - qalal (kaw-lal'); a primitive root; to be (causatively, make) light, literally (swift, small, sharp, etc.) or figuratively (easy, trifling, vile, etc.).
Use in KJV - abate, make bright, bring into contempt, curse, despise, (be a, make) light, (be, be more, make, re-) vile.
The figurative meaning of qalal is used to form a metaphorical meaning in Daniel's vision.
The carnal earthly nature of fallen mankind is represented by unpolished brass . But, through Christ believers are made bright (polished / refined by the glory of God) as carnal beliefs are brought into contempt with the Word of God. Carnal beliefs will be despised or made vile to the believer by the power of the Holy Spirit. This will result in the believer becoming a light of the truth of God...

Polished... like the 'Perfect Ashlar,' don't you think?
Other meanings given... that we have to consider in conjunction with all other meanings given, which tend to corroborate the evidence, don't you think...? I mean, I didn't make this stuff up...
...brass, natural good; iron, natural truth...
www.biblemeanings.info/Words/Natural/Iron.htm
Seems appropriate to the case at hand...
Let's continue with that thought...
It is unknown to the world at the present day that brass signifies natural good, and also that every metal mentioned in the Word has a specific signification in the internal sense-as gold, celestial good; silver, spiritual truth; brass, natural good; iron, natural truth; and so on with the other metals, and in like manner wood and stone. Such things were signified by the gold, silver, brass, and wood, used in the ark and in the tabernacle and in the temple, concerning which, of the Lord's Divine mercy hereafter. That such is their signification is manifest from the Prophets, as from Isaiah:--
Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings. For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron; I will also make thy tribute peace, and thine exactors righteousness (Isaiah 60:16, 17),
treating of the Lord's advent, of His kingdom, and of the celestial church. For brass gold, signifies for natural good celestial good; for iron silver, signifies for natural truth spiritual truth; for wood brass, signifies for corporeal good natural good; for stones iron, signifies for sensuous truth natural truth. In Ezekiel:-- Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, these were thy merchants, in the soul of man, and vessels of brass they gave thy trading (Ezekiel 27:13), speaking of Tyre, by which are signified those who possess spiritual and celestial riches; vessels of brass are natural goods. In Moses:--
A land whose stones are iron, and out of whose mountains thou mayest hew brass (Deut. 8:9), where also stones denote sensuous truth; iron, natural, that is, rational truth; and brass, natural good. Ezekiel saw Four living creatures, or cherubs, whose feet sparkled like the appearance of burnished brass (Ezekiel 1:7), where again brass signifies natural good, for the foot of man represents what is natural. In like manner there appeared to Daniel,
A man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with gold of Uphaz, his body also was like the beryl, and his arms and his feet like the appearance of burnished brass (Daniel 10:5, 6).
(from the same website above)
You see what I mean about the brass? And the iron... represents 'natural truth'... which will be replaced with 'celestial truth'...
Now, from Jeremiah, regarding iron and brass...
In Jeremiah:--
Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and brass? Thy substance (facultates) and thy treasures will I give for a spoil without price, and this for all thy sins (Jeremiah 15:12, 13),
where iron and brass signify natural truth and good; that it came from the north...
Now, we know that the 'north' also represents the 'underworld,' or 'land down under'... symbolically... and that our corner-stone was laid in the northeast corner...
And then, there is this...
Take thou unto thee a pan of iron, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city, and set thy faces toward it, and let it be for a siege, and thou shalt straiten against it (Ezekiel 4:3),
where also it is evident that iron signifies truth. Strength is attributed to truth, because it cannot be resisted, and for this reason it is said of iron-by which is signified truth, or the truth of faith-that it breaks in pieces and crushes; as in (Daniel 2:34, 40), and in John:--
He that overcometh, to him will I give sovereign power over the nations, that he may pasture them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers (Rev. 2:26, 27).
Again:--
The woman brought forth a man child, who should pasture all nations with a rod of iron (Rev. 12:5).
That a rod of iron is the truth which is of the Word of the Lord, is explained in John:--
I saw heaven open, and behold a white horse, and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and fight; He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood, and His name is called the Word of God; out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations; and He shall pasture them with a rod of iron (Rev. 19:11, 13, 15).
It is said of the Dionysian Artificers, or Ionians, that although their skill in metals was legendary, that they would never fashion swords, or other weapons of 'war.' It reminds me of a passage in which it is promised that your swords will someday be beaten (re-forged) into plowshares...
And why he makes war with the 'sword of his mouth'... for one thing...
Did you know that the Tuatha de Danaan (said also to be of the tribe of Dan, symbolized by the eagle, coincidentally) were said to make 'attacks' on the 'enemies' with satire...? It's true. It was one of their favorite 'techniques' for disabling an enemy... they used the 'sword of their mouth,' so to speak. I understand that it was also quite successful, when employed properly...
'The right tools for the job,' so to speak...
Lolol...
Now, just a bit more 'insight' on the number 44, and its importance to the discussion at hand...
The numerical value of Hebrew words AEIE HIE meaning "I am the Life", BBLI meaning Babylonian, HVL meaning phoenix, and DM meaning blood with the final letter "mem" equal to 40, gives each one 44.
And now, you might find this interesting, as well (from the same website, which I will credit below)...
The Bouriates knew 99 gods, divided into 55 goods and 44 bad. These two groups of gods would fight for a very long between them.
The god Chronos was surrounded by 44 assistants, 22 principals and 22 secondary, according to the Phoenician named Sanchoniaton.
It misses to the New Testament 44 verses to reach the total number of 8000 verses, this one representing the celestial beatitude.
www.ridingthebeast.com/numbers/nu44.php
I find it 'serendipitous' that the difference between the 'actual' number and the 'ideal' number of 8000, or 'celestial good/beatitude' (mentioned above in regard to the gold exchanged for brass), is the number of the 'bad gods,' according to the Bouriates... which equals the number of assistants of the god Chronos, or Time... who is seen fondling the spiraling ringlets of the 'virgin' shown on the 'monument to Hiram Abiff,' coincidentally... who is known as the "widow's son," and who was "widowed" when her husband, and the other men of the related families were burned alive, like phoenixes at their altars...? The women and children were said to be "swallowed up alive into the abyss," and therefore, the "widow's son" was sent as a 'master craftsman' to help build the Temple...
...and he will be raised, by the "Lion's Paw Grip of a Master"... a lion...
The 'right lion,' I assume...
Well, yeah...
I have a real hankering for... more cowbell... and a couple of nutty bars...
But I'll tell you what... a peanut butter cup is still... just perfect...
Now, before I forget, part of Belteshazzar's 'interpretation' included this bit of information...
Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
-verse 19, chapter 4
Well, how do you like that...?
Another 'winged lion' with a human head, much like a sphinx...
-from the 'Virtual Midrash'
Lamassu, Palace of Ashurnasirpal II, Nimrud, 883 - 85
Ahhh... 'killing me softly with your song?' Lolol... Guess what's on...?
Oh, you wish you were...
And you want to know something else...? I'm not sorry that I don't sound like a squeak toy, or a six-year-old... and I worry just a little bit about men that seem to prefer the sound of either one of those... if you know what I mean...
Get on with your 'bad' selves...
And I think that I got some... a little help from a 'Friend'...
It's all about a tree... and an 'unbinding,' and a new shoot...
