All right, let's try this one again...

I prepared this reply previously, and what do you know...? Poof... into the 'clouds' it went... nevertheless, I'm going to do it all again, because... I'm just kind of stubborn like that.

Now, the most familiar 'name' of 'God' that we have, and use, is probably the Tetragrammaton, in one form or another. Now, let's begin with the meaning of 'Tetragrammaton,' which is this... 'tetra' or, four, and 'gramma' or, letter. It means, quite literally, 'the four-lettered word.' You see...?

And here, a 'four-lettered word' is generally known as a 'word of curse,' or curse-word. Sound familiar? It should; one of the episodes of 'South Park' is titled "It Hits the Fan," and is about this very thing... maybe you should watch that again. When the 'word' (or in this case, 'name') is used, it produces... plagues. We can check with Moses on that, but if I remember it right... and I do... plagues went 'hand in hand' with that...

I have a story or two for you on that subject, but for now...

We were given some letters, with some 'blanks' to fill in... in other words, we were free to 'translate' that 'Name' for ourselves, and we have taken it rather badly 'in vain'... on so many levels.

You see, I have some ideas of my own... and I'll give you the quotes, beginning with the testimony of the 'Royal Arch Masons'; but I'd like to get at least this much 'out there,' before anything else goes 'wrong'...

Well, since this should be my 742nd post, I'm going to go ahead and 'play the numbers,' and continue with this thread for a bit. The subject is the 'name' of 'God,' and they say that there are 42 letters in the 'name,' and seven is...

Right now, I'm listening to 'With Your Crown Came Nothing;' I've got some 'news' for you... nothing was all I ever had. Not that I haven't hoped for more, as I said... it's what Life is all about. The truth is that I'm really quite satisfied (excepting the occasional toothache); I find that Life is full of surprises, and little 'pearls,' if you bother to work the field a little bit, and that, the more I learn, the less I know... which, at this point, is really pretty Wonderful.

And that brings us to the 'Name'... that most Holy and ineffable Name, in which 'all things are possible'...

...and, I think I finally know what it is.

And, since that is True, I think it's time to start 'fighting fire with fire,' maybe... or Foo...

I say it all the time...

In the Hindoo (whatever), it is AUN, or AUM

You see? Jahbulaun... now I am just 'name-dropping,' aren't I? And every good Mason knows that... Unfortunately, they have given you the name in the wrong order...
