Well, as I was sitting here this morning with my coffee, and remembering that this day marks your 'Halloween,' I thought that I might offer you something appropriately 'frightening' to think about today; it will go nicely with our 'ark,' I think, and it should also serve to 'open the door' to the further-related subject of 'Jones,' 'jones-ing,' and perhaps, even...*gasp*... Indiana. Lolol... Are you scared yet? You should be... lolol... But seriously, the subject that I am about to raise for you here, I have discussed before, although in a slightly different 'context,' perhaps on the forum, I think, once, as well as with my friend, who found it interesting, I suppose, but perhaps did not understand the full significance of what it was that I was saying at the time... nor, do I think, did I, for the longest time. It has become somewhat 'clearer' to me, as I continue on, and I think that at least one or two of my fellow 'journey-men' can appreciate this for what it is, and so... We have to begin with a story that my father told me, about when he was in school, and all had was radio (aside from movies in theatres) for entertainment; he told me that in 'science' class, they learned how to build a 'radio receiver' from a crystal, and a 'cat-whisker,' which, I assume is a wire of some sort, that connects to the crystal, and depending on the position of the 'whisker' (and probably the crystal), you could pick up various 'radio signals' out of the air... I thought 'wow,' for several reasons, and I never forgot that little story; it just appealed to me, the whole notion. I think that now I know why... Now, we can get back to the 'relics' known popularly as the 'crystal skulls,' since... that is exactly what they are. How they were produced is not so well-known, and the purpose for which they were produced is equally 'nebulous,' say... in other words, nobody really knows,- much like the 'ark.' But, given the information above, I think that I can make a good guess, so let's see what you think... The 'crystal skulls' are meant to 'illustrate' (first) the way in which the/a human skull might act as a 'receiver' set, when covered with the appropriate 'cat-whiskers,' or hair, for the 'radio'-type waves that transmit information from... the Great Mind, where all information has its origin, I would think. Secondly, I believe that they may have been created in imitation of that, to the effect that they might actually serve as 'crystals,' or 'receivers' of a certain nature, but how they are used (if they were actually used), is now something of a mystery, I'm afraid. I am more apt to believe that they were 'symbolic' in nature, much as the 'ark,' and that they are relaying information in their own way, to those that can 'receive it.' I remember that there was a 'recent' (2012, say) series of ceremonies held at 'sacred centers' around the country that involved these 'crystal skulls,' and I'll have to look that up later, but they ended, I believe in Sedona... near the ancient home of the Anasazi... the winged cliff-dwellers... surely, it has significance... I believe that those ceremonies were meant to 'stimulate' the 'receiver,' or the True 'Crystal Skull,' that it would appear is expected to become 'operational,' I suppose... and what do you think that it will transmit? Goodness knows... lolol... which is probably why the same 'raiders' of the 'lost ark' would like to get their hands on it. Failing that, I further suppose that we could just make it sound like a really good story... if not just a tiny bit fantastical... almost as if to be unbelievable... that, and advocate haircuts for everybody, just because... Just sayin'... if you can't cut its whiskers, I guess you'll just have to 'bell' the cat, eh? Lolol...  Happy Halloween, I'm sure... and watch your broomsticks... |

After having done just a short bit of further research on the subject of the 'skulls,' I've decided that this topic deserves an addition... and I hope that if you've been reading along this far, that you will please follow me just a little bit further,- I think that you will understand. To begin with, there is a legend associated with these skulls, or, at least, 13 of them. Here we have our 'lucky 13' again, and this is one of the numbers that is 'peculiar' to Masonry, and the 'Illuminati.' It concerns, more particularly, 12 skulls (represented in a smaller size, in reference) surrounding, in a circular pattern, a larger skull... they are all crystal(s). Now, this particular configuration should be familiar to you already, in various forms,- most notably, let's consider the 12 disciples surrounding a central 'Christ' figure, and the 12 seats of the Round Table, which were highlighted by a vacant 13th place... known as the 'Perilous Seat.' We have also the example of the 12 'houses' of the Zodiac, with a 13th now posited... that of the Serpent-handler... coincidentally... What I have deduced from this information, and the following 'legend,' with the recent ceremonies, and the time-ing of it all, is this... The skulls are indeed symbolic; they, and the associated legend, point to a 'future' time in which these 'skulls' are activated, and I believe that that time has come... and I believe that these skulls further represent the 'illuminated minds' of those 12 (popularly known as 'Illuminati,' perhaps), being energized by the central figure of the 13th, and are now ready to reveal that 'ancient' knowledge that they contain, individually, and, as a unit, which will, quite effectively, usher in a new 'age' for mankind, but is actually a True Return to those beginnings that we can no longer even 'relate' to... nevertheless, it is our heritage, and our birthright, and we are its legitimate Heirs. Royal Blood, so to speak... These 12 persons have been perpetuated in symbolism for the appointed time, and they are expected, if not known... there are now twelve... and a 13th, 'challenger,' if you Will... I wonder if you know who you are? And if so, you must wonder why the things that you 'know' can't be applied yet, in spite of your desire, and longing... You are only waiting for a Key. The basic elements of the 13 crystal skulls legend is that at a pivotal time in humanity's history, the 13 crystal skulls will be reunited to awaken a new era - transforming from an old paradigm into a new world.

In support of this prophecy, and continuing with this 'line' of thought, I want to give you some illustrations, and relate some very early 'history ' for you (again, in the case that you missed it the first time... it's important), that should serve to substantiate these 'deductions' of mine. Let's begin with this one... beautiful, isn't it? It was titled, 'The Anatomical Man,' but you will notice that there are two figures... and one is definitely female. The central figure is circled by the 'Houses' of the Zodiac, 12 in number, which represent (if you will remember) 'Perfect Government.' That makes sense... The symbolism here is almost overwhelming, but we can begin with the fact that its 'coming with clouds'... you see? And that sounds familiar...  Twelve 'planets' (so to speak) make 12 'governors'... It works... lol... |

I'm really happy to 'see' you... and I'm doubly happy that you replied to this thread, because I have somewhat to add to it; I've been busy 're-arranging,' and then, sleeping... as I can... It is a lot to 'wrap your head around'... good one... and now, in further support of our little 'thesis,' I'd like to offer you this illustration from the Bamberg Apocalypse... twelve 'gates' surround the New Jerusalem, which, set in four groups of three, surround the central figure of the 'white' (or purified, or 'cleansed'... innocent) lamb.  Now, I'd like to retell the history of the first recorded 'council meeting' of the world's 'illuminated minds'... and remember, this is a true story... ...This grand "Council Meeting," for such it is considered in all official records, occurred during what would be the week of March 28th to April 4th of 1489 BC, according to our present calendar. It is generally conceded to have been on Thursday, April 1st, but this may be associated with Maundy Thursday, a later establishment. However, Thursday has become the usual day for Rosicrucian meetings, and 'Maundy' Thursday has become the occasion for special Temple Convocations in many Lodges of the world.
Twelve known Brothers and Sisters were present at this first Supreme Council. The Sisters were: the wife of Thutmose III, known in the Order as Mene; the wife of one of the Brothers; and another who as descendant of one of the rulers of a preceding dynasty. Therefore, there were nine Brothers and Three Sisters at this Council, a combination of numbers which is very significant.
No worldly name was decided upon for the Brotherhood, the records showing that the predominating thought was the maintenance of secrecy. The organization had no publicity; it required no propaganda other than personal advice to those whose presence was desired, and as the one word, translated into 'Brotherhood' (a secret, fraternal body), was sufficient name for all purposes, we don't find any other term... In so many of the documents issued by the Supreme Magi to the Grand Lodges throughout the world, the name of the Order is seldom mentioned... In these the element, the idea, of secrecy is so strong and predominant that the Order is referred to indirectly and sometimes erroneously (or perhaps diplomatically) as 'it,' the 'school,' the 'brotherhood,' or the 'council.' Furthermore, many of these documents begin with the announcement: "I, Brother of the Illuminati, with power decreed, do declare this Manifesto," or with the Salutation: "I, F, Illuminati of the 12." (I, Frater Illuminati of the 12th degree.) Very often these official manifestoes are signed: "With Peace Profound" and sometimes "F, Profundis" or "F, 12."
These words not only show that the twelfth or last degree has been the last circle within the Order, and known as the Illuminati, even to this day, but they also explain why some references are made to these documents as "Instructions of the Illuminati," which may be easily misinterpreted as "Instructions to the Illuminati" as one sees them referred to in works published abroad in the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries AD, where the 'Order Rosae Crucis' is designated solely by the term 'Illuminati.'

The Pythagorean Degrees of the Illuminati
Standard degrees
1st: The Heaven of the Fixed Stars.
2nd: Kronos (Saturn). Kronos was the leader of the Titans. (He castrated his father Uranus, thus taking his power from him. He ruled the world during the mythological Golden Age. He was the father of the Olympian gods. He was overthrown by his son Zeus, and he and the other Titans were bound in the underworld.)
3rd: Zeus (Jupiter, Jove). The king of the Olympian gods.
4th: Ares (Mars). The god of war.
5th: Helios (Sol). The sun.
6th: Aphrodite (Venus). The goddess of love and beauty.
7th: Hermes (Mercury). The messenger of the gods.
Mystery Degrees
8th: Selene (Luna). The moon.
9th: Gaia (Terra Mater). The earth.
10th: Antichthon. The counter-earth.
Antichthon is the highest degree because it represents the opportunity for humanity to transform itself beyond recognition. While this earth is corrupt, wicked and fallen, the counter-earth offers the promise of the complete opposite: paradise, free of the malignant influence of the Demiurge and the Old World Order. Antichthon, the counter-earth, is what the earth can and should be.
The Mithraic Degrees of the Illuminati
In later times, the Greek Pythagorean degrees were restyled according to a Roman system. The seven standard degrees became those of Mithraism, a mystery religion closely related to Illumination:
Standard degrees
1st: Corax (the Raven), under the rule of Mercury.
2nd: Nymphus (the Bride), under the rule of Venus.
3rd: Miles (the Soldier), under the rule of Mars.
4th: Leo (the Lion), under the rule of Jupiter.
5th: Perses (the Persian), under the rule of the Moon.
6th: Heliodromus (the Sun Runner), under the rule of the Sun.
7th: Pater (the Father), under the rule of Saturn.
The Mystery Degrees
8th: Minerva (symbolised by an owl - the Owl of Minerva).
9th: Magus (symbolised by the phoenix, the sacred firebird that rises from the ashes).
10th: Deus Absconditus (the Hidden God, Abraxas, symbolised by the Tetraktys).
(The last of the four major Illuminati symbols is the skull and crossbones in honour of Simon Magus. The Greek Sphinx also has special significance.)
These remain the degrees of the Illuminati. The majority of members belong to the standard degrees; the 10th degree is for the 12 members of the Ruling Council only. The identities of the Ruling Council are completely unknown to the basic membership, but at each initiation, one masked member of the Ruling Council is always in attendance and conducts the final part of the ceremony.
There were ten degrees in total because, for Pythagoras, the number 10 was divine. 1, 2, 3 and 4 were also revered because they add up to 10 and they form the divine triangle - the Tetraktys - which symbolized the four elements (earth, air, fire, and water) and, in its totality, also the mystical fifth essence, the Quintessence.
The Tetraktys is... an equilateral triangle composed of dots in four rows, a visual representation of the equation: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10. The Tetraktys contains a hexagon and a three-dimensional cube, as shown in the picture. It is a truly extraordinary figure. It also symbolises key musical intervals: 4:3 (the fourth), 3:2 (the fifth) and 2:1 (the octave). If the Tetraktys is extended by adding new rows, up to a total of 36, the 36th "triangular" number is 666: the Number of the Beast in the Christian Book of Revelation. The number 36 has a crucial significance for the Illuminati, as does the Tetraktys extended to order 36. As for the 666th triangular number, this is equal to 222111. Pythagoras was born in 570 BCE on the Greek island of Samos. He was taught how to perform miracles by a mystic called Pherecydes, who first introduced him to the doctrines of the Illuminati. (At this time, the Illuminati did not exist as a formal organisation, but as a loose group of nomadic thinkers and mystics.) Pherecydes instructed Pythagoras on the immortality and transmigration of the human soul, the soul's wanderings in the "underworld", and the purpose of the soul's cycle of reincarnations.
Pherecydes recommended Pythagoras to other members of the Illuminati, amongst whom were Egyptian priests, the most illustrious and learned of teachers in those times. When Pherecydes died, Pythagoras boarded ship and went to Egypt where he was taught secret knowledge, profound mysteries and advanced mathematics by the priests at Heliopolis, Memphis and Thebes. Later, he learned astronomy from the Chaldeans, geometry from the Phoenicians and occult knowledge from the Persian Magi. He also met the prophet Zarathustra (Zoroaster) in Persia. On his travels, he acquired all of the greatest wisdom then available in the world. He was uncontaminated by Judaism, and, as for Christianity and Islam, they did not exist at this time. For people nowadays, it's easy to forget that there was a time when people did not suffer from the warped mindset of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The world was once free of these horrific religions, and it can be again. According to Christianity, every human being went to hell before the coming of the "Redeemer", Jesus Christ. Not the first... but the first one that was 'recognized,' so to speak... although, Pythagoras himself is something of a 'mystery,' as well, it would seem...
