About the Sun and the Moon...

I decided to take up this subject on a thread of its own, although, of course, it correlates to our other threads in ways that should become apparent enough as we progress along...
The Sun and the Moon... symbols of the greatest antiquity, which have always, from the beginning and thenceforward, represented the 'Supreme Deity' and our relationship with it. Reasons for this symbolism have been given, which make a certain amount of reasonable sense, and yet... there was still something 'missing' from the explanations, as far as I was concerned. Something that wasn't being 'said'...
And, truthfully, that's it in a nutshell... but, in fairness, I will expand on that for you with some of the following quotes, and my thoughts in regard to them, which you can take under consideration. If I'm not wrong, I don't believe that I've ever seen this explanation offered before, but I think you'll see that it has some merit... if not actual justification.
To begin, I would like to give you some quotes from a work that I am referring to on another board, The Spirit of Masonry, by William Hutchinson. This is the end portion of a piece titled simply, "An Oration on Masonry," that is included in the Appendix, which I found to be particularly illuminating (with congratulations, and thanks, to the unknown author),- the germaine portion appears at the end, so have 'Patience'... lol...
...in such a work, it may not be esteemed profane to use the apostle's words to the Corinthians,- "According to the grace of God, which is given unto me as a wise master-builder, I have laid the foundation," since my duty this day is a commemoration of the might, majesty, and benevolence of the Great Master of all, whose temple is the Universe, the pillars of whose work are Wisdom, Strength, and Beauty; for his wisdom is infinite, his strength is in omnipotence, and beauty stands forth, in all his creation, in symmetry and order.
He hath stretched forth the Heavens as a canopy, and the earth he hath planted as his footstool; he crowns his temples with the stars, as with a diadem; and in his hand he holdeth forth the power and the glory; the sun and moon are messengers of his will to worlds unnumbered, and all his laws are concord.
Now, this is extremely interesting...
In light of my current train of thought, that is.
4:33,- be sure to watch it to the end...

I decided to simply 'edit' this post, with some additional information... Regarding the quote above, I found it quite serendipitous...
This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubabbel, saying, not by might nor power, but by my spirit. Who art thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubabbel thou shalt become a plain, and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shouting, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, The hands of Zerubabbel have laid the foundation of the house; his hands also shall finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubabbel, with those seven.

This is a short quote from the same book's Appendix, in "A Short Charge Delivered to the Master, On Being Invested and Installed:"
...For a pattern of imitation, consider the great luminary of nature, which, rising in the east, regularly diffuses light and lustre to all within its circle. In like manner, it is your province, with due decorum, to spread and communicate light and instruction to the brethren in the lodge...
So, in case you missed that part, it is telling the 'Master' that he is to 'communicate light and instruction' in the same way that the Sun 'regularly diffuses light and lustre to all within its circle.' To 'communicate Light'...
Which is, I believe the 'Universal Language' of the Masons, which was the first language 'spoken,' when the 'words' "Let there be Light" were delivered... the Light flashed out from the darkness, and the 'Word' was with God... and the 'Word' was 'God'... and that 'Word' was a direct 'reflection' of his Will...
Which is where the Moon comes into the picture... for us...

So, if this 'language of Light' is to be True, we need to find some 'foundation' for it... and, as far as foundations go, this is also interesting...
...According to Dr. Hurtak, this was a culture who cracked the genetic code and possessed the keys of the physical spectrum, the "Higher Light Physics" of the ancients... everything old Gilgamesh went searching for in his famous trek to the lost "City of the Gods" to search the tunnels beneath "Mt. Mashu" in the desert lands.
Hurtak refers to a "language of light" and a great priest-scientist of the previous time cycle, named ENOCH, who is associated with the building of the Great Pyramid complex. Hurtak alludes to a grand spiritual science, a science which describes a genetic stairway to the stars. The priest-scientist ENOCH, is a prediluvian patriarch, one of the most famous and seminal characters of the previous time cycle. Father of Methuselah and great grandfather of Noah, Enoch is credited in the Bible as architect of the original Zion, the legendary "City of Yahweh", as well as inventor of the alphabet and calendar. Enoch is also history's first astronaut, who "is taken aloft by the Lord" and shown "the secrets of earth and heaven". He returns to earth with the "weights and measures" for all humankind.
Known to the Egyptians as THOTH, the "Lord of Magic and Time" and to the Greeks as HERMES, "messenger of the gods", he is even remembered in the Celtic tradition as the enigmatic wizard Merlin, who disappears up an apple tree to mythic Avalon, seeking the secret of immortality and vowing to return. As one who attained immortality, the secret of how we "might become as gods", Thoth/Enoch promises to return at the end of time "with the keys to the gates of the sacred land."

Well, a lot of that sounds practically... Masonic...

One more quote, from the same source, for now... for contemplation...
...I may venture to assert, that it was the only consequence which could ensue, whilst men were looking up to the Divinity through his works, that they would conclude that the Sun was the region where, in celestial glory, the Deity reposed.
We discover in the Amonian and Egyptian rites the most perfect remains of those originals to whom our society refers. We are told they esteemed the soul of man to be an emanation of the Supreme, and a spirit detached from the seraphic bands which filled the solar mansions and surrounded the throne of Majesty. They looked up to this grand luminary as the native realm from whence they were sent on this earthly pilgrimage, and to which they should, in the end, return. The figure of the Sun was at once a memorial of their divine origin, a badge of the religious faith they professed, and a monitor of those principles which should conduct and ensure their restoration. How soon, or to what extreme, superstition and bigotry debased this emblem, is a research painful and unprofitable...
We looked up to the Sun...
...and it spoke to us... of 'God'...
I believe that it is still speaking,- for those 'with ears to hear'...
...and that it seems particularly glorious after a long, dark, and silent... night.
