Twelve letters... but there may be a 'thirteenth', which is 'hidden'... just as there is a 'hidden Sephira',- that of Da'ath, which may represent the 'missing chord' held by Orpheus... and Da'ath represents an abyss,- which abyss is also the 'connection' between 'wisdom' and 'understanding' which makes up True Knowledge. There is a 'leap' that has to be made to cross this abyss, in order to join the 'higher wisdom' with the 'lower wisdom' (complete the 'circuit'), and it is very much a 'leap of faith',- interestingly, this 'hidden hole', if you will, is compared by Gareth Knight in at least one instance to 'Janus' (remember our super-computer by the same name? You should...), as the 'god of doorways'. "Kenneth Grant, with his usual florid imagination, sees Daath as a gateway through to outer spaces beyond, or behind, the Tree itself..." Doorways... and 'hidden holes'... like our rabbit hole... or maybe, in this case, a worm-hole... "Nothingness lies coiled in the heart of being - like a worm" - Sartre
"When you look into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you" - Nietzsche Great quotes, from a pretty good article on this very 'deep' subject which you should probably read more about... hermetic.com/caduceus/qabalah/046_kab.htmlLike a worm... a Shamir, maybe... or a wyrm... As in dragon... a 'magic' dragon. From the "Book of Lambspring"... THIS SURELY IS A GREAT MIRACLE AND WITHOUT ANY DECEPTION— THAT IN A VENOMOUS DRAGON THERE SHOULD BE THE GREAT MEDICINEBut I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people... many bulls have compassed me; strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and roaring lion.-Psalm 22 You may recall that the Shamir was a 'magical worm' that was used to break up the stony ground in preparation for its 'renovation' or 'building upon'. The shamir was said to have been procured by King Solomon (by questionable means), in order to construct his own Temple. There are many applicable connections to this shamir that might be made to the 'worm' that is referred to here... and then, there is the 'dragon'... Or, 'pole serpent', or... Teli serpent, as it is known to ancient mystical Jewish sources, which has to do with the 'knots' that the Grand Tortue produced in his 'string'... these 'knots' are also known as 'nodes',- points of intersection, where 'X' marks the spot. Notice that the symbol known best as the 'Cross of Lorraine' shows two definite, and seperate, points of intersection... Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance...

A beardless youth (our Juggler of the 1st arcanum), but without a hat, is standing motionless in the angle where two roads meet. His arms form a diagonal cross upon his breast.
The repetition of the 1st arcanum under another form. Here the man is not one of the Initiates. He does not know how to direct the magnetic currents of the Astral Light; he is therefore plunged in the antagonism of the different ideas which he cannot master.
Two women, one on his right, the other on his left, each with one hand upon his shoulder, point to the two roads. The woman on the right has a circle of gold upon her head, the one on the left is dishevelled and crowned with vine leaves.
The two arms of the Juggler, expressing the positive and negative, the two columns of the temple of Isis, expressing necessity and liberty, are here personified by the two women, who represent Vice and Virtue.
The future of the young man depends upon the road which he chooses, whether he becomes one of the Initiates, the Mage of the 1st arcanum (the spiritual ו), or the rash thunder-stricken personage of the 16th arcanum (the ע).
The spirit of Justice floats above this group in a radiant halo; he bends his bow and aims the arrow of Punishment at the personification of Vice.
A profound symbol indicating that if man chooses the path of Virtue he will not be left unaided, but that Providence will ally itself to his will and assist him to overcome vice.
In short, this hieroglyphic expresses the struggle between the passions and conscience, the antagonism of ideas. This is the description given in Papus' "Tarot of the Bohemians" of the older symbolism of card number 6... as I said earlier, the symbolism of certain of the cards has taken a 'turn', for some reason, which must be best explained by the symbolism itself. In other words, I see that this older symbolism explains perfectly the beginning position of our 'magician' or 'initiate/apprentice' for the time being... it is a time of necessity, and decision... and liberty, which we've seen is just another word for 'nothing left to lose' in most cases. It is time to leave our 'garden home' of 'innocence lost', and there are two roads presented to us ahead. I also believe that, just as has been expressed by Led Zeppelin, "there's still time to change the road you're on". But what does our 'serpent' in its 'guise' as the 'Teli dragon' have to do with this card, in particular...? It seems like kind of a 'stretch', doesn't it? And yet... there is a very valid connection, according to the Kabbalists. While adhering to the view that the Teli is the segment between the ascending and descending nodes, Rabbi Judah HaLevi (1068-1118) also writes that the Teli alludes to the spiritual world, and to hidden mysteries which cannot be grasped. Rabbi Abraham Abulafia similarly writes that the "knots" of the Teli are "knots" of love and mystical union. It is titled, "The Lovers"... and the number 6 is traditionally the number of 'man', with the 'triple 6' given to the 'antichrist' or 'beast'... 'man' multiplied by chaos/matter... interestingly, the same 'triple 6' is used below to describe 'Christ'... Represent the imperfection, the sin, the Evil, according to the Bible. But it is also the number of the test, the work and the servitude in the Hebraic law, which ordered to work during six days, to sow the earth during six years and that a slave serves his master during six years.
Number of the "man-animal", the man "with a tail", still having his passions, being nonconscious of his divinity. But it is also considered as being quite simply the number of the man because it is the sixth day that God created the human couple (Gn 1,26).
Perfect number, according to Thibaut Of Langres. Our Lord was conceived on the sixth day, was born at the sixth age of the world and was crucified on the sixth day - the eighth age corresponding to the beatitude which will follow the resurrection of the bodies. Origen specifies that 6 is the symbol of the passion of the Christ who suffered the sixth day. According to Euclid, 6 is also the first perfect number because it is equal to the sum of its aliquot parts. Let us mention that the four other perfect numbers that follow are 28, 496, 8128 and 33550336.
Thibaut Of Langres attributes also this number to Venus, that is to say the fecundity because 6 is the product of the first even number by the first odd and that it is considered that all even number are female and all odd are male.
Its form is a continuous curve without angle, without line. It is the total love. It is almost spiral, it is on the point of going towards the infinity. www.ridingthebeast.com/numbers/nu6.phpThe new symbolism of the card numbered 6, is that of the road that leads to redemption... of a Greater Plan that allows for the intervention of Providence, where Fools rush in... and the certain quiet assurance of the 'poetic Justice' that I've always thought so much of, and the only thing truly 'worthy' of 'God'. Six represents the test, the work, and the servitude... and that should be familiar to you all, by now,- at least in theory, if not actual practice. But that... as 'Great' as it is, isn't the entire story of the card number 6, because that includes only part of the symbolism; there is another, if not other, level(s) of symbolism included in this little 'plot', and one of the most important is actually the 'dragon' or 'serpent', which finds its echoes within the Kabbalistic Teli. There are many important aspects of this most elusive of 'serpents', which is mostly unknown, anyway, but they seem to apply rather specifically to the situation at hand, so we should look further into the mystery of the Teli, as a sort of a 'platform' to launch our journey from... and maybe to... Oh, and I just wanted to say that some of your latest 'messages' are really just too much... I knew I saved up that ROFL for some really Good reason... To begin with, that Krakken that you've got churning about in the 'Sea of Love' is just... perfect. And the 'Cubie' was a nice touch, as well... The hexagon is formed by six equilateral triangles which are writable in the circle. The six is then connected to the circle, or to the notion of cycle. The great cycles of the universe are multiple of six.
The number 6 is sometimes called the perfection of the parts because, multiplied by itself, it always reappears at the place of the unit: 6, 36, 216, etc.
Other representation of the 6: the cube with its 6 surfaces which, developed, form the Latin cross. The Heavenly Jerusalem is cubic; the cross, which never appears in the Revelation, is perhaps designated like this.Little things are both surprising, and mighty, it turns out... and I think that's pretty Great, too. Go, 'Little'... it is said to be a 'Great Day of small things' that is coming. How do you like that? I think that falls under the 'Divine Paradox' heading... Among other things. A Great way to start the Day... Or, we can 'rock you like a hurricane'... really. The 'stormwind' or 'sa'arah' refers to initiation into the prophetic or mystical experience... Sa'arah... you're the poet in my heart,- Never change... never stop...The Talmud presents a picture where "the stormwind hangs (talah) between the two arms of God like an amulet." This 'hanging' can be identified with the Teli. As discussed earlier, the 'stormwind' (sa'arah) refers to the initiation into the prophetic or mystical experience. The two nodes of the Teli are the spiritual points from which this 'amulet' hangs. The Talmud further states that the 'arms' from which it hangs are the 'arms of the universe'. As discussed earlier, the 'arms of the universe' denotes the twelve diagonal boundaries.Twelve diagonal boundaries... twelve fruits on the Tree of Life in our Garden. But... I think there's still got to be something to that "Baker's Dozen" we keep hearing about,- an extra little 'something-something' thrown in for... Good Measure. Lucky thirteen... And that would have to be... the constellation of Draco (our Teli, again), which has stars in the sections of all houses of the zodiac (12 'houses'),- which makes it, therefore, a literal Pole Serpent, since it is the serpent that surrounds the ecliptic pole. Since the Pole Serpent has stars in all houses in the zodiac, it is also seen as supporting them all. It is as if Draco was at the top of the celestial sphere, and all the other stars were hanging from it. As such, Draco is seen as the overseer and director of all other stars. Draco is therefore associated with the Teli, which, as the Sefir Yetzirah states (6:3), is "over the Universe like a king on his throne." It is called the Teli, because all other constellations hang (talah) from it.
In ancient times, the Teli, in the form of Draco, was worshiped as an idolatrous deity. Rabbi Isaac of Acco also identifies it with the idol Baal, mentioned in the Bible.Baal, or Bel... Oh, dear... all this talk about 'nodes' has brought us back around to LaGrange... lol... or at least, some Rio Grande Mud... And speaking of Mud... that reminds me of one of my all-time favorites... and this might be as Good a time as any... These nodes, or 'crossings' are places where it is said that the 'physical' intersects with the 'spiritual'... ascending and descending nodes... Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. And in this regard, I would like to add this... Another important opinion is that of the practical Kabbalists. They write that the Teli is actually a place under the firmament of Vilon, and that it is inhabited by humanoid beings, which deport themselves in holiness and purity like angels. The divine mysteries are revealed to these beings, and they have the authority to reveal these things to mortal humans. Methods are also given whereby these beings can be contacted. Now, that's just interesting, don't you think...? So many connections... And, speaking of 'connections'... I think this is where our 'Bohemian Rhapsody' begins...
(My own note,- 'Justice' seems to be aiming directly at our 'young man', making him the actual 'personification of Vice'... which is pretty much the position in which Cain found himself, I think; additionally, it is interesting to note that 'Justice' here is symbolized by 'Cupid', the son of Venus, who is definitely blindfolded here, so that he is able to see neither the 'good' nor the 'evil' - Vice or Virtue, as they are called here.)
A profound symbol indicating that if man chooses the path of Virtue he will not be left unaided, but that Providence will ally itself to his will and assist him to overcome vice.
In short, this hieroglyphic expresses the struggle between the passions and conscience, the antagonism of ideas. (And this was exactly the position in which our 'young man', or Cain, found himself... in a struggle between the passions and conscience, which resulted in his search for 'balance', as symbolized by the scales of Justice. I think it is further interesting to notice that within the symbolism of this card lies what was said to be the eventual 'physical' punishment of Cain,- who was shot by an arrow from the blind Lamech. Which only goes to show you that you can't avoid that which Destiny has prepared for you... even when shot from the hand of a blind man, the arrows of Justice find their mark.) And that winged figure that stands above our Adam and Eve on card number 6... it is given in the 'explanation' of the card that this is an Angel, pouring out its 'beneficent influences', but I don't really think it looks very beneficent... in fact, it definitely seems to be frowning down upon the man and woman, and the woman is looking up at it with a look of some foreboding, if you ask me. It seems to rise from the stormcloud, and its hair seems to be... on fire, or in flames. The man looks unhappy, and it would seem to me that this figure is the one that has been appointed to 'escort them' from the Garden. Its hands are raised behind them... as if in a 'driving' motion. It has not yet picked up the Flaming Sword with which it will stand guard over the 'gateway', but we know that this is the means by which they have been prevented from re-entering the Garden before their 'work' is completed. Interestingly, it is said that the path 'back' to our 'Crown' may be that of the 'Flaming Sword'... maybe the only way out, is through... ...and, in another strange 'echo' from the Ninth Gate allegory, there is this... ...that tends to confirm the 'identity' of our 'questor'... And one more thing, about having 'tails'... this is said to be the state of the man who is yet an 'animal', or, in other words, has had as yet no 'contact with the divine'. Now, for those of you who 'follow' the 'Dragon Ball' story, the Saiyans (an 'alien' race' that look like human beings) are evidently born 'with tails'... and lose them in their early childhood. I guess you can see the 'connection' here,- Some beings can change their appearance, which usually releases a higher power and fighting skills.
The Saiyans and descendants of Saiyans can turn into Super Saiyans (also known as SSJ), if they are strong and skilled enough to do so. Then their hair becomes yellow and erected. A yellow aura surrounds them. If they are more powerful, they can also turn to Super Saiyan level 2: the hair is longer and the aura is surrounded by electric sparks. Finally, a 3rd level exists, that only Son Gokû and Gotenks (see "fusions" part) have achieved. The hair becomes so long it can touch the ground, the eyebrows disappear, and the aura becomes the shape of a sphere.
Half-Saiyans can transform too. But Son Gohan never transforms, not because of a lack of power (the opposite), but because a God (Kaioshin) liberated his full potential of power. He doesn't need to turn Super Saiyan and fights immediately with his maximum power.www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/dragon-ball-summary.htmlJust sayin'... And then, there is the Dragon... the Teli as Leviathon, and Typhon... and you know what they say,- as above, so below. If there is a 'terrestrial dragon' or 'great serpent' (one or more), then there is also a 'celestial dragon' or 'great serpent' that is echoed by its more physical counterparts, of course, which is why the concept of the 'Teli' is so confusing, I think... it applies on many levels. And those 'knots' or 'nodes',- those also apply on many levels, to be sure. 'Tumbolia' for one, according to the Grand Tortue... they still exist, on another level, even though they aren't visible when the 'string' is pulled. And, of course, it was two 'knots' (nodes) that he tied... just as illustrated by the ecliptic... The "dragon" whose head and tail form the two nodes, is then identified with the Teli. Most early Hebrew writers refer to it by its Arabic name, Al Jaz'har. Juz'har is a Persian word, meaning 'knot' or 'node'.One last thing to notice about this card is the mountain in the background... in the apocryphal books of Adam and Eve, it is said that they were driven to a mountain from the garden, where they were sent into a cave to dwell. This cave became known as 'The Cave of Treasures', and it was from this mountain that the children of Seth watched the sons of Cain as they built, and multiplied on the earth. The identity of the mountain might be interpreted in different ways, but one of the names of 'God' is given as El Shaddai... ...According to this theory, God is seen as inhabiting a holy mountain, a concept not unknown in ancient West Asian mythology (see El), and also evident in the Syriac Christian writings of Ephrem the Syrian, who places Eden on an inaccessible mountain-top.
Harriet Lutzky, who is the adjunct assistant professor of psychology at John Jay College, City University of New York, has presented evidence that Shaddai was an attribute of a Semitic goddess, linking the epithet Shaddai with the Hebrew šad meaning "breast", giving the meaning "the one of the breast", as Asherah at Ugarit is "the one of the womb". (Coincidentally, Asherah is also identified with a 'pole'...)
The term may mean "god of the mountains," referring to the Mesopotamian divine mountain. The term was one of the patriarchal names for the tribal god of the Mesopotamians. In Exodus 6:3, El Shaddai is identified explicitly with the God of Abraham and with YHWH. The term appears chiefly in the Torah...
There is a Midrashic interpretation as an acronym standing for "Guardian of the Doors of Israel" (Hebrew: שׁוֹמֶר דְלָתוֹת יִשְׂרָאֶל). This acronym is commonly found as carvings or writings on the mezuzah, which is placed on the doorposts of Jewish homes and other dwellings.
Yet another suggested meaning of "El Shaddai" is that it is composed of the Hebrew relative pronoun she (Shin plus vowel segol), or, as in this case, as sha (Shin plus vowel patach followed by a dagesh). The noun containing the dagesh is the Hebrew word dai meaning "enough, sufficient, sufficiency". This is the same word used in the Passover Haggadah, Dayeinu, which means "It would have been enough for us." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_ShaddaiPsalms 17:15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. It is said that Mari wanders the mountains... in a fur coat... Lolol... There is also a tradition that there are two Telis or dragons, one male and the other female. They are mentioned in the account of creation, "God created the great dragons" (Genesis 1:21). According to the Talmud, the Pole Serpent mentioned by Isaiah is the male dragon, while the Coiled Serpent (Nachash Akalkalon) is the female. Some Kabbalists state that the constellation of Draco is the male Pole Serpent, while the inclination of the ecliptic is the female Coiled Serpent.
Especially important are the lunar nodes, since it is only at these points that an eclipse, either of the sun or the moon, can occur. The Teli can then be seen as the imaginary dragon swallowing the sun or the moon. At the heart of the city lies the step pyramid known as El Castillo (Spanish for the “castle”). A 16th-century Spanish bishop, Diego de Landa, referred to it as the “Temple of K’uk’ulcan,” the name of the legendary ruler of the city as well as an ancient snake deity.
When the temple at top is included, it rises about 100 feet (30 meters), with each side being 180 feet (55 meters) at the base. On each of the pyramid’s four sides are 91 steps, making 364 in total. When you add in the step taken to enter the temple the total number of steps comes to 365, the number of days in a year.
“The corbel-vaulted temple at the summit of the four breathtaking stairways is a curious mixture of indigenous and foreign, Flower Mountain masks (a Maya feature) embellishing the exterior, reliefs of tall war captains from Tula [the Toltec capital] being carved upon the jambs of its doors,” writes archaeologist Michael Coe in his book "The Maya" (seventh edition, Thames & Hudson, 2005).
Coe also notes that archaeologists have found the remains of an earlier pyramid beneath this one. Finds from that structure include a stone throne in the shape of a “snarling” red jaguar, with jade eyes and shells used for fangs.
Beside the pyramid, just to the east, lies the “Temple of the Warriors.” Rows of columns lead up to the structure’s stairway entrance, the heavy use of columns being a Toltec feature.
When you climb the stairs you see a pair of feathered serpent statues, heads on the ground, gazing at you... www.livescience.com/23262-chichen-itza.htmlA pair of feathered serpents... interestingly... I wonder if they spoke the 'Language of the Birds'? And, I believe that this temple in particular had to do with eclipses... To the south of the pyramid lies a snail-shaped building that appears to have been used as an observatory by the city’s inhabitants; the Spanish named it the “Caracol” (snail).
Its four entrances lead to a narrow passageway that “coils upward like the shell of a snail” leading to a chamber with three surviving windows, writes archaeo-astronomer Anthony Aveni in his book "Empires of Time: Calendars, Clocks and Cultures" (I.B.T.)
Aveni points out that the building is aligned to Venus and “according to Spanish chroniclers, the Caracol’s round shape symbolized Quetzalcoatl-Kukulcan, the Venus deity,” the planet being of particular religious importance to the ancient Maya. The spiral also makes the form of a... Coiled Serpent... So many connections... But the main thing to remember is this,- if we are to find an 'end' in the 'beginning', it's likely going to include the dragon... serpent... Interestingly, this 'horned serpent' (two horns, two 'knots') is associated with 'the creation of the world, and everything in it', so it may be reasonable to assume that its reappearance will signal a 're-creation'... which is really what the Maya were trying to tell us, except that this 'leap' will be to another level,- from the 'physical' to the 'spiritual', which is further indicated by the 'knots' or 'nodes' at the points of intersection. Further, the head of the Teli/serpent,is said to represent 'merit' or 'good', and the tail represents 'liability' or 'evil', and these two are actual opposites, or 'opposite ends', when the 'serpent' is stretched out in a linear fashion, and this is representative of Time, itself. By all rights, the two 'ends' of 'good' and 'evil' cannot co-exist, since they are diametrically opposed, but when the 'tail' of the serpent (liability) is swallowed up by the 'head' of the serpent (merit, or Good), it forms a 'circuit' in which spatial 'time' no longer exists and 'good' and 'evil' are once again 'united' as a 'force',- in balance,- which becomes the true Power of 'God'... as shown by Ophiucus, the serpent-handler, which is symbolized in the 'belt' of the Magician and the 'crown' of Isis. And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. The Book of Revelations, chapter 10 So, maybe we should get on with it... The 'Chariot', that is...

Let's open with a 12 this morning... sounds Good... I'll tell you what else sounds good... They are pretty 'wonderfilled', aren't they? Especially when they're 'double-stuffed'... I'd like to make a short observation of my own in regard to the word, 'He-ro(e)'... it has come to mean a person (mostly a man) that displays extraordinary courage or valor under extremely adverse circumstances... basically... and that definition seems to have some merit, but there may be another 'level' of meaning that has so far gone unexplored, but may also have 'merit', under the circumstances. Let's take the first part of the word, 'He', which besides being the first 'syllable' of this (what I understand to be) ancient Egyptian form of the word, is also the second and final 'syllables' in the Hebrew 'name' for 'God'... Yod He Vau He. It is 'female' in nature, interestingly... To this 'He', we can add the Ro, which is Egyptian for 'king', as well as (with the addition of the 'e' at the end, which is not incorrect) you have the 'chased roe' that is mentioned by the prophets, and a definite connection to the 'golden hind' of legend. These are just some of the thoughts that give me food for contemplation... and I think that All in All, it's pretty 'wonder-filled'...it really is. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.Psalm 126 Now, these lines are particularly interesting in light of our 'story', since Cain was, of course, a tender of the earth... a gardener, and then, a builder. And our 'hero' of the ensuing 'story' of the Royal Arch, is Zerubabbel, the 'seed of Babylon'. And this is a perfect place, I think, to take up our 'story', and by all means, 'get this show on the road' with our Charioteer... number Seven (7)... Eliphas Levi shows us the Chariot being pulled by twin Sphinxes, but the Marseilles tarot shows it being pulled by horses, with a seemingly missing shoe... there's a reason for everything, I trust, so we will look at both versions, as they apply to what I believe to be the 'meaning' of the symbolism of the card. And since our Taro(t) itself symbolizes a 'royal road', the Chariot is a most important starting place... Good music this morning... and by the way, Happy Anniversary to our local FM station, KZEL,- I've been a listener for most of those years (there were a few spent elsewhere, here and there), and I have so many great memories of FM radio. It used to be the 'underground' of radio, where you could hear 'uncut' and 'long' versions of records, as well as full albums, from time to time. It was the FM station that played Cheech and Chong's recordings, and your FM station where I heard Harry Nilsson's uncut version of "You're Breaking My Heart." I've loved Harry Nilsson, and your station, ever since. This one's hot... Good one... Now, let's try to 'get back home' by starting our journey... it's been a long time. I will give you the description of the card, and then we'll consider the symbolism in light of the 'story'... and, it's all right if you don't 'believe',- it really only matters that I believe, since the 'science' of 'quantum physics' makes it entirely possible for the reality that I perceive to be the same reality that I believe. Which is really just an older 'science' with an interesting new name. The thing is, it's not just a 'crazy belief' or 'blind theory' that I enjoy... so far, all of it is supported by the unsolicited testimony of history and... some truly wonderful serendipity. Nevertheless, it is enough to convince me that if these things are (or might be) True, then so can all the rest of it, just as easily. And it can... An erect and princely figure carrying a drawn sword... On the shoulders of the victorious hero are supposed to be the Urim and Thummim. He has led captivity captive; he is conquest on all planes,- in the mind, in science, in progress, in certain trials of initiation. He has thus replied to the sphinx, and it is on this account that I have accepted the variation of Eliphas Levi; two sphinxes thus draw his chariot. He is, above all things, triumph in the mind.
It is to be understood for this reason (a)that the question of the Sphinx is concerned with a Mystery of Nature and not the world of Grace, to which the charioteer could offer no answer; (b) that the planes of his conquest are manifest or external and not within himself; (c) that the liberation which he effects may leave himself in the bondage of the logical understanding; (d) that the tests of initiation through which he has passed in triumph are to be understood physically or rationally; and (e) that if he came to the pillars of that Temple between which the High Priestess is seated, he could not open the scroll called 'Tora', nor if she questioned him, could he answer. He is not hereditary royalty and he is not priesthood. He is 'victorious' already, over many things, and in fact it says that he has 'effected liberation', and yet... he has mastered only the 'Mysteries of Nature', and not at all the 'mystery of grace'. He carries a sword(scepter), and wears a crown, yet he is not 'hereditary' royalty; he wears the Urim and Thummim, and yet, he is not priesthood, and he is not acquainted with Tora, and so... who can this be? Notice his 'planes of conquest', and consider the accomplishments of the first man to move out into the land 'east of Eden;,- this Charioteer represents Cain, and the conquest of the physical world and Nature that he took possession of, and did, indeed Master. He was truly the 'king' over this realm, and the power of his own thoughts, and Mind, in relation to the 'Great Mind' of 'God' that he was so recently in personal communication with. And yet, because there was no 'king' before him, it would not be possible for this 'kingship' or 'royalty' to be 'hereditary, just as there was no 'priesthood' before him... And yet, he is in possession of the Urim and Thummim. Let's look at the Urim first... The Urim and Thummim (Heb. אוּרִים וְתֻמִּים) was a priestly device for obtaining oracles. On the high priest's ephod (an apron-like garment) lay a breastpiece (חֹשֶׁן) – a pouch inlaid with 12 precious stones engraved with the names of the 12 tribes of Israel – that held the Urim and Thummim (Ex. 28:15–30; Lev. 8:8). By means of the Urim, the priest inquired of YHWH on behalf of the ruler (Num. 27:21; cf. Yoma 7:5, "only for the king, the high court, or someone serving a need of the community"); they were one of the three legitimate means of obtaining oracles in early Israel (Urim, dreams, prophets; I Sam. 28:6). Owing to the oracular character of the Urim, the breastpiece is called "the breastpiece of decision" (חֹשֶׁן הַמִּשְׁפָּט). (The concept evokes "the Tablets of Destiny" in Babylonian mythology – the symbol of supreme authority that lay on the breast of the chief god; Pritchard, Texts, 63, 67, 111.) The right to work this oracle was reserved for the levitical priests (Deut. 33:8).
Occasionally the term ephod is used with reference to the Urim-oracle associated with it (I Sam. 14:3, 18 [according to LXX]; 23:6, 9; 30:7). The latest period for which there is evidence of use of the ephod-Urim is that of David (but cf. Hos. 3:4); subsequently, oracles are conveyed exclusively by prophets. In postexilic times, when the Urim oracle was extinct, difficult questions were reserved "until a priest would appear with Urim and Thummim" (Ezra 2:63; Neh. 7:65; cf. Sot. 9:12: "After the former (i.e., pre-exilic) prophets died, the Urim and Thummim became extinct"; and Josephus (Ant. 3:218), who avers that the oracle ceased 200 years before his time).
There is no biblical information on the appearance of the Urim, the material out of which they were made (the Samaritan text of Ex. 28:30; 39:21 adds a command to manufacture the Urim and tells of its execution), or the technique of their use. The most illuminating passage is the Greek of I Samuel 14:41, whose underlying Hebrew is mutilated in the received texts: הָבָה תָמִים, conventionally rendered "Give a perfect answer"... The etymology of the terms is obscure. From the Greek passage adduced above, it seems that the two terms are the names of two objects. Hence the conjecture that Urim derives from ʾ arar, "curse," and Thummim from tammam, "be whole," indicating negation and affirmation respectively. Tradition has connected the first term with light (ʾ or) or instruction (Aram. ʾ oraita). Thus both Greek δήλωσις καὶ ʾ αλήθεια, "declaration/revelation and truth," and Vulgate doctrina et veritas, "teaching and truth," treat the pair as a hendiadys meaning true instruction – with reference to the oracle. www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/urimthummim.htmlNow, that is interesting, don't you think? I do... We'll go on with the sphinx, and the answer to its question, shortly. In the meantime, there's that white horse again... Yep. The time of many lives, maybe... hmmmm... Anyway... hay, Saint(s) Jimmy... Before we take up the 'riddle of the sphinx', let's look into the other half of the breastplate,- the Thummim, which has everything to do with our 12, and a perfect subject for my post number 1200, I'm sure. The first thing to notice about it is that it is half of a set of two 'pieces' that make up the 'ephod', or 'apron', if you Will... and so, we find our Masonic apron, worn by Cain himself. And this has to do with the sphinxes (or horses), that are pulling the 'car', as well. In the case of the sphinxes, there is one black, and one white, which is also an appropriate echo of the deeper meanings of the Urim and Thummim, themselves... that of 'curse' and 'be whole'. "Turning a curse into a blessing," if you see what I mean... May 'God' bless America... indeed... There is more to the symbolism of the sphinxes, but I will reserve that for later in the post; let's look more closely at the purpose and function of the Thummim... (An apparent derivative with this meaning is the novel coinage אורתום, found in the Qumran Thanksgiving Psalms Scroll with reference to divine illumination (4:6, 23; 18:29; see J. Licht's commentary to 4:6)). A talmudic interpretation finds an allusion to the unequivocalness of the oracle in two words: "They cause their message to be lucid [מאירין]… and carried out [משלימין]" (Yoma 73b).
The earliest speculation on the technique of the oracle is reflected in Josephus (Ant. 3:217), who states that victory was forecast by the shining of the stones in the breastpiece. The talmudists fancied that the oracle was spelled out by the miraculous protruding of letters out of the tribal names engraved on the stones (Yoma 73b; Maim. Yad, Kele ha-Mikdash, 10:11). Rashi takes account of the separate existence of the Urim by making them a document bearing the tetragrammaton, whose presence inside the breastpiece insured the clarity and perfection of the oracle (comment to Ex. 28:30 and Yoma 73a; cf. Samuel b. Meir, who calls the Urim a kind of conjuration by divine names). Naḥmanides (at Ex. 28:30) combines the various strands of interpretation: the Urim was a text bearing divine names placed inside the breastpiece, by virtue of which various letters out of the tribes' names lit up; the Thummim were other divine names by whose virtue the priest was able to combine the letters perfectly into the divine message.
To the names of the 12 tribes engraved on the breastpiece were added those of the three Patriarchs, together with the word shevet ("tribe") so as to encompass the whole alphabet (Yoma 73b). Interpreting Urim to mean "those whose words give light" and Thummim as "those whose words are fulfilled," the rabbis explain that the oracle was effected by rays of light shining on the letters, or protruding from them and forming themselves into groups (Yoma 73b), so that the high priest could read them. Only priests speaking by means of the holy spirit and upon whom the Shekhinah rested could invoke them. The inquirer had his face directed toward the high priest, who directed himself to the Shekhinah. One did not inquire either in a loud voice or silently in his heart, but like Hannah, who muttered her prayer (I Sam 1:13). Only one question was to be put at a time, and if two were asked, only the first was answered. However, if the occasion required two questions, both were answered. Unlike the decrees of a prophet, those of the Urim and Thummim could not be revoked. Only a king or a head of the Sanhedrin could inquire from the Urim and Thummim (Yoma 73a–b). The division of the land was effected by means of the Urim and Thummim (RB 122a). Saul and David consulted them (Mid. Ps. 27:2). The Urim and Thummim ceased to give oracular answers immediately after the death of the first prophets (Sot. 9:12), i.e., the destruction of the First Temple (Sot. 48b). However according to the Jerusalem Talmud (Sot. 9:14, 24b), the "first prophets" refers to Samuel and David... www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/urimthummim.htmlNow, in regard to my own comments on these passages, I would like to point out to you that I told you some time ago that 'information was carried in light'. The function of the Thummim seems to indicate that this is true, according to the first underlined portion of the text above. The 'heavenly' lights function in much the same way, I am certain, since that which is below is only a reflection of that which is above... as the heavenly Adam Kadmon is a greater version of the earthly Adam, with much the same functions, on a higher and lower level, respectively. The necessity being, of course, the ability to 'translate' these messages in 'light' in order to relate the 'message' begin transmitted. Now, I would further like to point out that the use of the Urim and Thummim was later placed in the sole hands of the levitical priesthood... the sons of Levi, who are represented by Lev, the 'heart', and what is the 'heart', but the 'organic processor', as I have also said previously, for the 'Mind of God', or... the ability to 'communicate' with that Great Mind, and then 'channel it' to the benefit of the earth and its creatures (in much the same way as the 'Heavenly Adam' serves as a channel for those 'forces' through the 'higher' level of the planetary spheres. The second bolded portion refers to the means by which one 'inquired' of 'God' for His message... and you will notice that it most distinctly tells us that it is "like Hannah, who muttered her prayer," which must sound a lot like... talking to yourself... I would think. And this gives me some reason to smile... And you'll notice also that, oh, so serendipitously, all of this has to do with 'Revelation(s)'... speaking of 'timely entries'... And All... And speaking of Light, Venus is certainly bright in the sky right now... beautiful. But what I meant to say is, speaking of Light, the use of these items involves the presence of the Shekinah, to which we refer when we ask that 'God' shine His face upon you... And secondly, that their use was last 'enjoyed' by Samuel and David... now, this is important to me, since I have previously related a story in which Korah's wife was convinced that God would not allow for the destruction of Korah, since he was to be the progenitor of Samuel. And I believe that Samuel came by way of Korah, through a surviving daughter... so that that which was prophesied came about, but the 'personal sacrifice' of Korah... the 'planting of the seed'... was also a necessary part of the 'process', and this was done. You will notice that the Psalms of David are filled with songs written for the 'sons of Korah',- and there is a reason for that, as well. I believe that this is the true 'Davidic' line of the prophesied 'Messiah', or 'savior'... the one that truly takes 'captivity captive', as shown by the figure of the Charioteer. And this 'line', this 'seed of Babylon', if you Will, is still the heir of the True 'oracle'... the 'apron' or ephod, and the Urim and Thummim. I told you that I got my 'apron', didn't I? Straight from 'Portugal'... it's yellow, and... It's full of stars...Like golden apples. I like the guitar on this one... it practically 'weeps'... (To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves.) My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.Psalm number 45

Old man, my... ass... And speaking of which, I can't help remembering with... great fondness... the birthday card that my 'friend' sent me last year... I'm not foolin'... but he was... And goodness knows, I'll take any opportunity to (re)play a Def Leppard tune... How about one of those 'cubies'? Make mine a double... Which is a perfect place to visit our sphinx(es), don't you think? By now, I assume that you all know the 'answer' to the 'riddle of the Sphinx', if not the 'riddle' itself... I like the 'riddle' connection, since Bilbo and the Gollum (Golem... lol...) spent a good deal of time involved in exchanging riddles; there must be something to it. Let's begin with this one: It was said in late lore that Hera or Ares sent the Sphinx from her Aethiopian homeland (the Greeks always remembered the foreign origin of the Sphinx) to Thebes in Greece where she asks all passersby the most famous riddle in history: "Which creature has one voice and yet becomes four-footed and two-footed and three-footed?" She strangled and devoured anyone unable to answer. Oedipus solved the riddle by answering: Man—who crawls on all fours as a baby, then walks on two feet as an adult, and then uses a walking stick in old age. By some accounts (but much more rarely), there was a second riddle: "There are two sisters: one gives birth to the other and she, in turn, gives birth to the first. Who are the two sisters?" The answer is "day and night" (both words—ἡμέρα and νύξ, respectively—are feminine in Ancient Greek). This riddle is also found in a Gascon version of the myth and could be very ancient...Day and night... as represented by the black and white sphinxes, which are really one... that works. Especially since there are two "He's" included in the name, Yod He Vau He... both feminine in nature. But the first version is better known, and will also serve... since we are concerned with Man, and the first Man's mastery of himself,- his understanding of himself, which is shown by his ability to answer this most important of 'riddles'. In Jean Cocteau's retelling of the Oedipus legend, The Infernal Machine, the Sphinx tells Oedipus the answer to the riddle in order to kill herself so that she did not have to kill anymore, and also to make him love her. He leaves without ever thanking her for giving him the answer to the riddle. The scene ends when the Sphinx and Anubis ascend back to the heavens...Anubis... guardian of the earthly 'Underworld' and 'the weighing of the heart' as the 'Guardian of the Scales, and the heavenly Dog Star... now, that sounds familiar... First thought to be a Golden Jackal, and then supposed to be a Golden Wolf, 'he' is symbolically represented as 'black' in color, interestingly... but in truth, 'golden', in either event. I find that representation to be at least mildly provocative... and reflective, on another level, of our 'black and white' sphinxes. A sphinx (Greek: Σφίγξ [sfiŋks], Bœotian: Φίξ [pʰiks], Arabic: أبو الهول,) is a mythical creature with, as a minimum, the head of a human and the body of a lion."Marble Sphinx Acropolis Museum 632" by simon_music, originally posted to Flickr. Licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0 via Commons - commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Marble_Sphinx_Acropolis_Museum_632.jpg#/media/File:Marble_Sphinx_Acropolis_Museum_632.jpgAnother sphinx, shown with wings...
In Greek tradition, it has the head of a human, the haunches of a lion, and sometimes the wings of a bird. It is mythicised as treacherous and merciless. Those who cannot answer its riddle suffer a fate typical in such mythological stories, as they are killed and eaten by this ravenous monster. This deadly version of a sphinx appears in the myth and drama of Oedipus. Unlike the Greek sphinx, which was a woman, the Egyptian sphinx is typically shown as a man (an androsphinx). In addition, the Egyptian sphinx was viewed as benevolent, but having a ferocious strength similar to the malevolent Greek version and both were thought of as guardians often flanking the entrances to temples...
Sphinxes are generally associated with architectural structures such as royal tombs or religious temples. The oldest known sphinx was found near Gobekli Tepe at another site, Nevali Çori, or possibly 120 miles to the east at Kortik Tepe, Turkey, and was dated to 9,500 BCE...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SphinxThis is what is, 'perhaps the first Egyptian sphinx', depicting Queen Hetepheres II from the fourth dynasty, who was said to be one of the "longest lived" members of that dynasty (interestingly), and now housed in the Cairo Museum. I appreciate the image, since it shows that 'He-ro' is not inappropriate to the notion of a woman-king or Phe-ro(e), as it is... nor is the concept of the Sphinx, whose 'riddle' was answered in the person of the Son, Cain... the Charioteer... This one looks more... Greek... but the same concepts in symbolism are displayed... Know thyself...And when you do... enter 'Grace'... Now, the twin sphinxes, which represent 'sisters' may also represent two of the first answer, which was my own assumption... there is not one sphinx, or 'man', but two... therefore, two 'men'; one dark, and one light, or black and white, as shown by Eliphas Levi. It is the same 'man', so to speak, but 'divided' into its 'twin/double natures' of darkness and light, or day and night, if you will... sun and moon, which are shown on his shoulders. And that which was sown in darkness will be raised up in the light... And in that regard, we come back to the Thummim... There are many different accounts of the Urim and Thummim (light), but I am of the conclusion that this was a device used by the High Priests to communicate with their Gods or what I refer to as Ancient Aliens. The device consisted of 12 crystals that worked with sound, light, and color. Gemstones and Crystals are used in communication harmonics, to amplify energy, and to shift grids. Quickly, you will notice that there were 12 stones, or 'crystals' (according to this author) that were used for various 'creative' purposes, included in this 'breastplate'. There are said to be 12 'crystal skulls' which may work in a similar manner, on a 'higher scale', or on the level of planetary or 'heavenly' applications of a similar nature to the 'earthly' Thummim. Masonic Legend (taught during the 13, 14 and 21 degrees ceremonies of Masonry) and Kabbalistic tradition state that Urim and Thummin were part of the recovered artifacts taken from Solomon's Temple after Hiram Abiff was murdered while protecting the temple treasury. According to the legend, Urim and Thummin and other recovered treasure were placed back in the temple treasury.
Yale's Coat of Arms -- The Biblical Hebrew "Urim and Thummim" is emblazoned across the open book pictured on the Yale shield, a legacy of Yale College president Ezra Stiles. It is translated in Latin on a banner below as "Lux et Veritas" ("Light and Truth").
A treasure hunt for "the" Urim and Thummim (as a unique artifact) forms the central plot of the John Bellairs novel The Revenge of the Wizard's Ghost.www.crystalinks.com/urim.htmlNow, that should be of particular interest to the fellows on Oak Island... since this (as a unique artifact) might actually be included in those items that were 'secreted' for the future, so long ago... as easily as any of the rest of it, that is... waiting for a time of 'revelation'... Not to mention that those 12 'crystal skulls' seem to be likewise waiting... for a 13th to come along... at which time, they may have a 'revelation' of their own to make... Exciting times, don't you think...? "All piled up", isn't that right, friend...? I see that somebody's been reading along... This, in regard to the 'Teli serpent/dragon' that we were discussing, from the Sefer Yetzirah,- One of the most significant interpretations is that of the 'Bahir'. The 'Bahir' states: "What is the Teli? It is the likeness before the Blessed Holy One. It is thus written, 'His locks are hanging (taltalim)' (Song of Songs, 5:11)."
The link with this biblical verse is highly significant. In its entirety, the verse reads, "His head is a treasure of fine gold. His locks are hanging, black like a raven."
In both Talmudic and Kabbalistic traditions, this verse has two interpretations. First, it relates to a vision of God, indicating that when He is visualized in battle, He is seen as a young man with black hair. The Kabbalists say that this is 'Zer Anpin' (Small face, Microprosopus), the personification of the Six Sefirot from Chesed to Yesod.
The second interpretation relates the verse to the Torah. The Talmud states that the hanging or (piled) hair relates to the fact that every letter of the Torah contains "piles and piles" (teli tela'im) of Wisdom. Besides this, the hanging hairs are said to relate to the lines upon which the Torah is written.
The Torah which is spoken of here is not the ordinary written Torah, but the primeval Torah, which was written with "black fire on white fire." According to many Kabbalists, this primeval Torah in itself is identified with 'Zer Anpin'.Now, the 'Teli' is referred to here, as the 'Likeness before the Blessed Holy One', and I can find an echo in this piece from the Psalms, chapter 17, verse 15... As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. So, the 'Teli' might actually represent a man... just as the golden five-toed dragon is said to represent the Emperor, in Japan... and because it represents the 'primeval Torah', engraved in fire, I believe that it represents what is known as the 'Living Word'... the Logos... the 'Son'. Notice that 'Zer Anpin', or Microprosopus, is known as 'Small Face'... and I believe that it is this 'Small Face', or 'Zer Anpin' as represented by Adam, or more particularly, Cain, that is referred to in the "Great Day of Small Things" that is prophesied. His final, and ultimate, Victory... as the driver of the Chariot... the 'magic car', if you will... Winners of 'contests' get a laurel wreath, don't they...? I just believe they do... But, look at me... I'm skipping ahead... and about those piles of Wisdom, and the 'lines' that they are written on,- I believe that this is where 'reading between the lines' comes into play... Oh... and speaking of Marseilles... Vive la France, mon ami... I remember you, too. I don't know about the place where you are tonight, but here... the sky was almost 'on fire'. It was truly beautiful, and what do they say? Red sky at night, sailor's delight... And then, there was this... Lolol...

Papus tells us in his 'Tarot of the Bohemians' that the figure of the Chariot corresponds to the Hebrew letter Zain... Z... Hieroglyphically the Zain expresses an arrow, and therefore it suggests the idea of a weapon, of the instrument which man uses to rule and conquer, and to attain his object.
The Zain expresses victory in all the worlds. As a simple letter it corresponds with the astronomic sign of the Twins in the Zodiac.Which corresponds to Psalm 45, which I just quoted... happily... Well, how do you like that...? Double stuff... The 'arrow' here referred to might also be a spear, since it 'suggests the idea of a weapon, of the instrument which man uses to rule and conquer, and to attain his object.' Something like a 'spear of Destiny', maybe... This is a representation of "Athena's Chariot"... Interesting. And this is 'Nike', or Victory, riding in her Chariot... And here we are, in the 'City that Nike Built', eh...? The serendipity of it all is simply... poetic... don't you think? Go, Ducks...

Owwww owww owwwwwwww... I live by the River... You know, I could use another car... and I liked your 'message'... I took some time for 'reflection', since (H)Al seems to believe that I "Talk Too Much"... How do you like that? I guess I should just draw you a picture, instead... Lolol... Never mind. We need to carry on, for the time being... And there goes my hero, now... Now, where were we again...? Ah, yes... by order of the Prophet... Welcome to the Kasbah... Oooooh... sorry... got to dance now... Distractions... I have the goal squarely in mind... Oh, yes... there we were, with my 'imaginary friend' 'Christopher'... Who is this 'Pook Horner', do you suppose...? Should we knock...? And run? Lololol... Well, there now... whenever I call you 'friend', eh? There's... fire... And the wind began to howl... But me... I live by the river... (To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth...Psalm 46 I will be satisfied with thy likeness... Now, what was I just saying, (H)Al, when that last song came on...? "If this is the 'Highway to Hell', that makes me a real 'Highway Star'..." Yep. That's exactly what I said... Lololol... I love that tune... And, dare I say it...? I will... Like a G-6, baby... In 'SuperGlide'... Just to note, the last edit time was 9:33,- I don't want to miss anybody's sore thumbs... with my two left feet... Hand me that sledgehammer, won't you, Peter...? I feel like... building something... You'll forgive me, I hope,- my presence is being commanded by a... an... Man-child. To which, it seems, we temporarily defer... Oh, very young... if you leave us alive...

Maybe we should try that again... not that I didn't have a good time,- but we definitely have more ground to cover, and I have more sirius things to take up... like identifying woodpeckers. How about this one? Interesting... I see it's a "Car-tune"... no, really, it says so right there... I like this Car-tune,- By the way, thanks for the tunes... what's a car, without a radio? Or a jukebox, without a record... never mind 'high fidelity' or 'low fidelity', or even playable, for that matter... and, of course, now you can 'digitally re-master' the older records, which will bring out 'nuances' in the music that you just couldn't appreciate on the older recordings. And then, there is the record player, with all of the same 'intricacies' involved. So many 'variables'... just to hear the music. And that, believe it or not, has something or other to do with "Godel's Theorem"... Hay... that's a cowbell... And another great record, to boot... I'll have to get down to business pretty quickly, since time here is limited this morning; I get to work through Thanksgiving Day, which I should be thankful for... and I am... I am truly grateful for so many things... today, as always. Now, let's get back to the 'Car' just briefly, in order to cover a few other points, before we get on down the road... these further remarks by Papus are interesting, I think: A Conqueror, crowned with a coronet, upon which rise three shining Pentagrams of gold, advances in a cubical chariot, surmounted by an azure, star-decked canopy supported by four columns.
This symbol reproduces the 1st and 21st arcana in another order of ideas. The four columns represent the four animals of the 1st arcanum, and the four symbols of the 1st arcanum, symbols of the quaternary in all its acceptations.
The Conqueror, who occupies the centre of the four elements, is the man who has vanquished and directed the elementary forces: this victory is confirmed by the cubical form of the chariot, and by the Pentagrams, which crown the Initiate.
The Conqueror has three right angles upon his cuirass, and he bears upon his shoulders the Urim and Thummim of the sovereign sacrificant, represented by the two crescents of the moon on the right and left; in his hand is a sceptre surmounted by a globe, a square, and a triangle. Upon the square, which forms the front of the chariot, we see the Indian lingam, surmounted by the flying sphere of Egypt.
Two sphinxes, one white, the other black, are harnessed to the chariot.
This symbol represents the sacred septenary in all its manifestations. The word Yod-he-vau-he is portrayed upon the front of the chariot by the winged globe, to indicate that the septenary gives the key to the whole Tarot. The two sphinxes correspond to the two principles, active and passive. The Conqueror corresponds especially with the Sword and the Vau of the sacred name.
The 7th card of the Tarot shows the influence of the creation in the preservation of the Divine in the Human. Remember that previous to the sphinxes, the Chariot was pulled by two horses... and the 'appearance' of the Indian lingam expresses the same idea,- that of the Charioteer as 'Kalki'... the 'Preserver' and also known as the 'Horse Avatar'. This would also find a correspondence in the 'preservation' mentioned in the last bolded lines of text above... Notice the 'cubical' form of the Chariot, which indicates to me the 'Cubical Stone' or 'cornerstone' upon which all else is 'based',- and where else might we expect to find a 'true foundation' here? Other foundation can no man lay, save that which is laid...And then, there is the connection to the 21st card, which I've aleady mentioned, and its correlation to another sort of 'Chariot' via the 'four animals' that are represented on this card, with the 'driver' in the center... And this might be seen to represent the Chariot of Ezekiel's vision... that of the 'Spiritual Conqueror'... Victory... Nike... And what do our 'nodes' or 'points of intersection' correspond to, but the meeting of the Physical with the Spiritual...? So, I think you can see where we're headed... According to the verses in Ezekiel and its attendant commentaries, his vision consists of a chariot made of many heavenly beings driven by the "Likeness of a Man." The base structure of the chariot is composed of four beings. These beings are called the "living creatures" (Hebrew: חיות hayyot or khayyot). The bodies of the creatures are "like that of a human being", but each of them has four faces, corresponding to the four directions the chariot can go (East, South, North and West). The faces are that of a man, a lion, an ox (later changed to a cherub in Ezekiel 10:14) and an eagle. Since there are four angels and each has four faces, there are a total of sixteen faces. Each "Hayyot" angel also has four wings. Two of these wings spread across the length of the chariot and connect with the wings of the angel on the other side. This creates a sort of 'box' of wings that forms the perimeter of the chariot. With the remaining two wings, each angel covers its own body. Below, but not attached to, the feet of the "Hayyot" angels are other angels that are shaped like wheels. These wheel angels, which are described as "a wheel inside of a wheel", are called "Ophanim" אופנים (lit. wheels, cycles or ways). These wheels are not directly under the chariot but are nearby and along its perimeter. The angel with the face of the man is always on the east side and looks up at the "Likeness of a Man" that drives the chariot. The "Likeness of a Man" sits on a throne made of sapphire.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkabah_mysticismAs I looked, a stormy wind came out of the north: a great cloud with brightness around it and fire flashing forth continually...Ezekiel 1:4 Rock you like a hurricane... And this, too, is the message of the Teli... Oh, and about that 'likeness of a Man'... it sounds suspiciously like... A woman. Which is what we find in the center of the four creatures... Coincidentally... Sixteen... right, Ed? Well, there you go, 'friend'... "Rejoicing always, and in everything giving 'thanks' to God..." And as far as those 'echoes' go,- it doesn't really matter if anybody 'hears' me... it only matters that I said the Words. It's like a tree falling in a forest... in a way... and in spite of the time that seems to be so 'wasted' here, talking to myself, of a truth, I tell you,- There is another 'level', on which every Word is recorded, and there is a 'playback' feature included... Happy holidays... and, by all means, have some fun.

Well, I'm going to begin a new post for this topic, since it may seem somewhat 'off-topic' as far as our 'Royal Road' is concerned, but I think that you'll be able to make the connections before too long,- I hope you enjoy this portion of my 'thesis'... I began with some 'revelations', and spent a good deal of musing on the rest. I'm satisfied with the results, and believe that they have some merit, in regard to the subject at hand. This post in particular, I should like to think of as my own little contribution to 'Black Friday', which I kind of like, anyway... in theory, at least... When I was with you last, I believe that I brought up the subject of the 'Primeval Torah', which it is said was "written with black fire on white fire"... I found this statement to be rather fascinating, since it seems to fly in the face of any 'reasonable' conjecture as to how that might be accomplished, in Truth, and yet... it must be True. Therefore, I reasoned, there must be a way for that to be True, literally, and not symbolically, since these 'symbols' themselves represent an actual Truth. And it does. Verity, veritas, verily, veracity... they all spell 'true'. And verily, most verily, I say unto you, that I know that the end was known from the beginning,- and how I know. Remember now the odd statement that was attributed to Jesus in the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas? The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us how our end will be." Jesus said, "Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end and will not experience death."
(19) Jesus said, "Blessed is he who came into being before he came into being...www.gnosis.org/naghamm/gthlamb.htmlThis is an extremely relevant statement to the situation at hand. But this is confusing, too, yes? Yes. The end is in the beginning... and if you take your place in the beginning, you will know the end... well, that sounds simple enough. Child's play... well... it gets easier if you employ a 'child's tools', that is; mostly, a great deal of imagination. Unfortunately, a 'great imagination' is often perceived to be more of a 'loose screw' when you get further down the road, but never mind... if you all come up with a better answer, by all means, let me know. But, getting back to my answer to this 'riddle' of the black fire written on white fire,- and if you will remember, also, that it is an 'electric universe', and it is... you should be 'seeing' the answer right about... now. Do you see that I am writing at this moment in 'black fire on white fire'? Electricity, is, of course, belonging to the element of Fire, and it is this 'electrical' form of 'Fire' that is most 'primeval', if you will... it has existed since the beginning, and continues in its contribution to Creation in many, many forms, every day. It is your own 'animator', and that which gives 'Life' to the Universe... as Victor Frankenstein knew only too well. Therefore, since this is obviously true, and we are speaking of the 'primeval' Word, or that which has existed from the beginning, then, that means that 'this' form of writing, electronically, or electrically, was known 'from the beginning,' doesn't it? And, while that, in and of itself, may seem difficult to 'picture', or believe, I assure you that it is true, and I further believe that I can 'prove' it; certainly to my own satisfaction, if not yours... Lolol... Now, the human mind has conceived already of a thing called 'back-engineering', or better still, 'reverse engineering', in which a thing that is not currently understood is taken apart, and re-assembled, or re-created, in order to extract 'information'... here is one definition of the term, which may suffice to illustrate,- The analysis of a completed system in order to isolate and identify its individual components or building blocks. And why is this important to the 'case at hand'? I say that if you can 'reverse engineer' a thing, then certainly the Mind of 'God' is capable of this same sort of 'reverse engineering',- of history, itself, even,- in order to assure that the 'beginning' would lead up to the desired 'end', in spite of the 'free choice' at play at all points in between. Think about that. Your history has been 'reverse-engineered'... and this explains one of the names of 'God' a little bit more clearly... He is known as the "God of Reflections" for a reason, friends... And that brings us "Back to the Future" for real, wouldn't you say? This is a good start, I think... I have more, as to 'proofs', and commentary relative to our Taro/Tora... but I say, 'Blessed is he who came into being before he came into being' makes just a little bit more sense now, doesn't it? Mostly... Yes, 'friends'... history is being 'written' every day... if not made... Certainly today. Foo Fighters... 2-2-2 Divine... How about this? 'Black Fireday'... ROFL... Ironic, don't you think...? 'Irony'... lolol... in retrospect, of course, that was almost funny. Which is, I suppose, the nature of 'irony', after all... It's kind of 'funny' like that. Now, as to the "Back to the Future" connection,- I saw that the description given for the movie, "Back to the Future 2" said that Marty and the Doc find themselves in the year 2015... and I thought that was kind of 'ironic', too... I mean, here we are... And since we are given to understand that one of the basic 'rules' is that 'there are no coincidences', we have to assume that there is a reason that the year 2015 was chosen, rather than 2020, or 2525, or whatever... any other year at all... but it was this one. That's kind of 'funny'... And the notion of even going 'back to the future' is a source of ongoing interest, and conjecture, as shown by the popular "Terminator" series... and the "Matrix", as well. Somehow, we believe (at least 'inside') that there is a way to do such a thing, and even, perhaps, that it has already been done. There was, for instance, the poster known as "John Titor", who claimed to have made an appearance here from the year 2036, which bears a very great resemblance to the "Back to the Future" storyline... According to the posts, the device was installed in the rear of a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible and later moved to a 1987 truck having four-wheel drive.
Titor shared several scans of the manual of a "C204 Time Displacement Unit" with diagrams and schematics, and posted some photographs of the device installed in the car. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_TitorI wonder if it was a "Little Red Corvette"? Lolol... Well, they say that where there's smoke, there's fire... And a fireman... if you're Lucky... And that reminds me of one of my favorite jokes. I should tell you this one... okay, I will... A high-rise apartment building caught fire in the city, and firemen responded to find three women stranded in a room many stories up, with no way of escape, but through the window... fire blazed below and behind, and the women were frantic.
On the ground below, the firemen assembled themselves under the window with a net, and called out to the terrified women above that they would have to jump from the window, or perish in the flames. They were very afraid, but the brunette said, "I'll go first... I'm sure it will be fine. They are firemen, after all, and I'm sure they've done this kind of thing before." With some trepidation, she climbed onto the window ledge, and jumped out.
On the ground below, the firemen ran with the net, from one side of the sidewalk to the other, and the brunette, unfortunately, hit the pavement in the confusion. "Oh, dear goodness..." cried the two remaining girls, as the firemen dumped the net.
"All right," they called... we're going to have the next one of you jump,- we've calculated your positions more accurately since... that unfortunate accident. You'll be fine this time..."
By now, the flames were engulfing the front door of the apartment, and certain death was coming, if they didn't exit through the window, and the redhead, well aware of the direness of the situation, decided that her only choice was to hope that they were right, and trust to the veracity of their position. She squeezed the blonde's hand, and said "Wish me luck... you're next", and with a look down at the center of the net, she closed her eyes and jumped.
Too bad about that, since the firemen, at the moment that she jumped, had decided to shift their position 'slightly' to the left, and the redhead, sadly, missed the net as well. "Oh, holy Moses..." cried the blonde, in terror. She could feel the flames advancing toward her back, and knew that the window was the only way out... and the firemen weren't doing very well at estimating their position. As she looked downward in consternation, the firemen were once again scrambling into position under the window.
"Okay, lady... it's your turn. It's the only way out... and this time we've got it, for sure. Go ahead, and jump..."
With that, the blonde, looking down at the men below said, "Oh, no, you don't. I saw what happened to the brunette and the redhead, and I don't trust you at all, and you must take me for a real idiot. Well, I'm not... and before I jump, I'm going to tell you what I want you to do...
"I want you to put the net down... and back away slowly..."Lololol... good one... That was just for fun. And so was that. Ooooh... 'Moving in Stereo'... and shoes... But, siriusly... our Sefer Yetzirah tells us that these words are 'engraved'... or 'carved out'... or 'recorded'. In other words, there are 'grooves', much like a record has 'grooves', which are the spaces between the Words, which allow for the formation of the words themselves, and any subsequent 'message' or 'communication' to take place. These are referred to in Kabbalistic thought as 'taltalim', which, according to the Midrash, do not represent the letters themselves, but to the lines upon which they are written, which are, 'mystically speaking', the spaces between the 'hairs' of His head,- and these 'hairs' are said to contain 'piles and piles of Wisdom'. Just as a 'record' would contain, between the lines, 'piles and piles of Wisdom'... a recorded message. All you need is a good 'jukebox'... Now it's time for this one... And maybe this one... it's always time for more cowbell... And some 'agents of fortune'... Now, this brings me back to the notion of there being 'no coincidences',- this is one of 'their' most vaunted maxims, and I say if it works for 'them', it should work likewise for me. And it does. Rather than being cause for anxiety, it becomes a source of reassurance, really... what it means is that the notion of 'back-engineering' provides for those unavoidable 'coincidences' and my 'serendipity' pretty fairly. There is a plan, after all... and there are likewise, men and women who, from the beginning, have labored to bring that 'plan' forward,- in order to realize that 'Future World' that is referred to by these same mystics as Olam HaBah... a World to Come of ultimate life and goodness, which is described as the "land of the living". That actually applies on more than one level... as it should. And this World is a place of 'nearness' to 'God', where we will actually perceive Him, and find our own 'delight' in the Light of this Presence... the Light of Perception... where we know, even as we are known... to get 'back' to the Garden. A 'garden of delights'... For our 'God' is not a god of the dead, but of the living...And one more thing to understand about that is this... it is written in the commentary on the Sefer Yetzirah tells us that This good is not given as a reward, but as a direct result of a person's binding himself to good. A person attains to that to which he attaches himself. It is not about 'punishments and rewards', but what it is about, is your own efforts to understand, and 'polish' that rough stone that you were given, so that it is fit for the 'house'... you understand... There is more 'good news', though... to begin with, we are promised that even the laborers that begin at the very last hour, will receive their full wages; in other words, your efforts will be repaid with justice, and not judgement. Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened unto you.True. And about that 'Stairway to Heaven'... The scripture calls the "hangings" of the divine beard Taltalim. The Zohar relates this word to the Talpiot, which, as the Talmud teaches, is the "hill" (tell) to which all mouths (piot) turn. This "hill" is the mount upon which the Temple was built, which Jacob called the "gate of heaven". This Talpiot is the tangible link between the physical and the spiritual. According to the Kabalists, the same hold true of the Teli.Which brings us back to Rennes-le-Chateau, where we are reminded that "This place is terrible (awesome)..." And so it is... 11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. 12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Joh. 1.51 13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 14 and thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth; and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Gen. 12.3 ; 22.18 15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. 16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. 17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. 18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. 19 And he called the name of that place Beth–el... Hello golden! I don't have anything to add at the moment, other than a sincere "thank you". Your journal is one of the only pieces of media I keep up to date on lol. It truly isn't important how many get to enjoy your little yarns, the act is what counts. While we both approach the subject matter from very different cultural and linguistic perspectives, I always get a comforting sense of kinship when I read your writing.
I hope you don't interpret my scant and occasional posts as disinterest. I think of your writing as an engrossing stage-play which I dare not interrupt. I've contemplated trying to provide some corroborative and agreeable materials from "my world" that would harmonize with your work, but this is unnecessary. I applaud you, and wish you nothing but the best!
"Spending days, weeks, months, years, lifetimes. In the search of "truth".
Turning creation on its head for an answer. What could be found? What technology, what knowledge, what understanding could fill this void for one and all?
What could be there, independent of belief, unconcerned with proof, unencumbered by interpretation?
The search for truth is (for many) the search for a particular experience or realization that can "put right" the seemingly endless injustices and imbalances we perceive.
That truth is not to be found. No action you take, place you travel to, or words or speech you take in can bring you there.
There's only one authentic truth, but its not an idea, not a concept, not a reality. It is between "is" and "is not".
Those who strive for understanding, and those who rest in ignorance, both are on different parts of the same curve.
You'll all get to your destination."

Hello, again... In spite of a somewhat 'thorny' start, this has turned out to be a good day for a follow-up to 'Black Fireday', and I have to say that I'm really grateful for the music,- we have some excellent local stations. And, hay, KZEL... you were born in '69 (which is pretty cool), and I, myself, was born at 6:09... pm, not fm... lol... It just kind of made me smile... And, speaking of which, I'm really happy to have caught this one today,- it's one of my all-time favorites... And I can't help thinking that you would have played this one, but I missed it, so... I'd like to hear it anyway... Or, possibly even "Spanish Rose"... Just sayin'... I enjoyed hearing it... And then, at home, I listen to a 'coastal station' that I actually really enjoy... they have something like Moxie... mostly... and they play some pretty Great music, too... They just won't play this one... I may have to dance... "Come on, Mrs. Nesbitt... we're hoppiing aboard the Soul Train..." The whole 'train' thing is interesting, I think... and I think I know why the 'train' symbolism was chosen, and why MIT sponsored a 'model train tech club' that employed its own 'language' in reference to their 'model train' activities. You see, a train leaves a station' (a definite and particular point) at one end of a 'line', which might be described as the 'beginning' of a 'journey, and it progresses towards its 'goal', which is another definite point somewhere toward the opposite 'end' of this 'line', which, in our case at hand, will represent a 'timeline' of 'history', either long- or short-term. This seems reasonable enough, except that it begs the question of how they know where they're headed, or what or where the 'goal' or 'end station' is... Trains only leave a station in order to arrive at another, and if there were not another 'destination' in mind, and truth, at the other end of the line, both the train and the journey are pointless. If you see what I mean... And this should help to explain what I mean by 'forward memory', as it is described by the alternate term of 'deja vu'... The fact is that you've already been to this 'station', and you remember some of its particulars on the way back through,- to the same 'station' or 'end point' of this particular journey, at least. The 'end point' that you have just reached may not, in all probability, be the 'actual end point' of the available alternate 'lines', which have already been laid out (not to mention the ones that might still be laid),- the truth is more that you just haven't 'seen' them yet, and are unaware of their existence, except by other 'reports'. You see...? And this would require what you might call 'back-engineering', in a way... In order to send you off from the 'beginning', there has to be a 'destination' already in existence... in fact. To think otherwise, would seem to be something like that 'smart' blonde in the story that I told you last night, who would insist on out-thinking the 'programmer' by laying down the tracks in front of the engine, as she decided that she wanted to go... and end up absolutely nowhere... if they're Lucky... Good one... And, oh, yeah... about that "Soul Train",- 'souls' are part of the next thing that I'd like to bring up, and just what I believe is our 'part' in this ongoing 'creation'... which is exactly what it is. Or might have been... greater... at divers times, but there seems to have always been, from the beginning, a 'contending' faction, which was necessary under the naturally imposed 'physical' limitations, or 'laws', of opposites which provide the conditions under which a 'dual' nature might find an existence. Even under an 'ideal state' of a 'balanced unity of Forces', or equilibrium, there must be two in order to apply to the notion of 'balance' at all. With a 'unity', there is no question of one 'side' ever 'outweighing' the other, since it is a single unit, and this prevents any necessity of it achieving 'balance',- it just is. It will exist, independent of balance, for it has gravity on its side, pulling all of its atoms into cohesion. It is 'in balance', and will remain so unless, and until, it is 'divided'. But neither is there any 'definition'... or should I say, there would be no possibility of 'knowing' yourself, really,- no 'reflection' of 'yourself' or your 'substance' in which you might finally 'see yourself', and therefore, gain a greater understanding of the 'thing' that you are. As it is said, Good and Evil are defined by the existence of the other,- in no other way might they 'recognize themselves', and it was in this way that the woman was promised that she might be like 'God'... knowing herself more fully by 'reflection', and 'communion' with another 'piece' of her that lay outside of her 'self'. She wished for 'definition' outside of the Unity... and was 'taken from the side of man', accordingly... except that, in the story, those events are given the other way around. But if we were 'reverse-engineering' the story, it would happen that the 'woman' was removed from the side of the originally androgynous 'Man', Adam, in order that 'man' become his own 'better half' as 'woman', representing the 'second' half of the single unit that is required for a more complete knowledge of self, and a resulting state of 'balance' to occur, or to be achieved, and any further expansion of the physical unit to take place. And all of this had to happen, in order to lead her to the 'serpent' at all. The woman's 'desire' for this, only strengthens the sense of 'purpose'... for me... she 'took her place in the beginning', as it is written in the Gospel of Thomas that I quoted from last night. And I believe that it was at this first 'intersection' or 'node' or 'Teli', which, we are told represents the intersection point of the 'physical' with the 'spiritual', at which the woman was 'created', and achieved the 'independence' from her 'partner' which 'opened her eyes' to their state of 'opposition' to each other... which included not only a 'dual nature' inside, but now outside as well. And it was this position of 'opposition' which precipitated the 'third'... representative of 'chaos', and providing for further 'division' of the original 'unity'. All necessary for further creation, and expansion, in a three-dimensional theatre, so to speak. All of which illustrates quite nicely the tale of "Pandora's Box", as well as the maxim, "As above, so below". And, in the tale of Pandora and her 'opened chest', there was one thing left inside, when all else had flown away out into the universe... and that was Hope... In a Happy Ending, certainly. And, I'm certainly not 'losing my religion'... I am finding it... again... I would like to point out one or two things at this point in my 'entry', and that is that this explanation also bears witness to the truth of the symbolism that is contained within another 'myth',- that of 'god-man' who, having seen his own 'reflection', becomes enamored with it, and is thereby 'trapped' within this 'world of matter'. Previous to the 'seperation' of Adam into two 'units', he was unaware of himself as a Self, and when he was able to 'perceive himself', he found that it was 'good'... very good. And he was 'satisfied' with his own likeness... which really is pretty much how we find ourselves 'mired' or 'wired', maybe, into this particular 'matrix', or level of be-ing. In order to change that, Man is now going to have to cherish a similar desire for a change in their 'perception', which will cause us to be 'satisfied', rather, with 'His likeness'... and move you into that 'Future World' of Nearness (to 'His' actual presence), in the Light of Perception, which is referred to as 'Nirvana'... or Perfect Communion, I would say. Secondly, I found another 'witness' for the thought that all of this was 'reverse-engineered', in a rather unexpected place, but... nevertheless... it is worth adding at this point in my notes, since we find an 'echo' there, too... a strange echo... Some of you (?) may remember that I wrote a thread for a forum that I used to visit, the topic of which was the recently translated (ahem) "Gospel of Judas", which seemed to indicate that not only Judas, but Jesus, was aware of his place in the 'plan' of the 'crucifixion', and was a 'willing participant' in this critical 'scene'. Evidently, even with that prior knowledge, the burden of it proved to be a heavy weight, and he subsequently was said to have hung himself in a place known as the "Potter's Field". Of course, substantiation for this 'prior knowledge' can be found in the prophecies (prior knowledge) of Zechariah, in chapter 11, where I can also find a strangely worded passage having to do with the same 'knowledge' of the Beginning... I will present my evidence shortly, and of course, feel free to read ahead... And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
8 Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.
9 Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.
11 And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the Lord.
12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
13 And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord.
14 Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 And the Lord said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd. In this passage, I would like to point out that there were two 'staves' or 'staffs', named Beauty and Bands, both of which were 'broken in half.' Now, Kabalistically speaking, 'Beauty' is a male attribute and represents 'Adam', while the second staff, designated 'Bands', should represent the female attribute of 'Strength', as I believe that it does,- and that further, by its designation as 'Bands', it speaks to its own 'purpose', which is to produce the ensuing 'bands' or 'tribes', if you will of Man into existence, and so 'Eve', who is designated in this symbolism as 'Bands', is described as the 'Mother of all Living'. Please notice the importance of breaking this second staff in half,- two sons... Cain and Abel (later replaced by Seth)... brothers, and representing in themselves the subsequent 'tribes' of Judah and Israel. In Medieval Kabbalah, the task of man is the Yichud-Union on High of the Male-Female principles of Divinity, healing the apparent separation and concealment of the Shechinah Female indwelling Divine presence that sustains this world from the "Holy One Blessed Be He", the transcendent Divine on High. Separation and interruption of the Shefa-Flow of Divine vitality into this World is caused by man's sins. Unification and revelation is opened by man's benevolence, so that in Kabbalah man encapsulates the whole spiritual cosmos and upholds the Heavens. The 16th century Sefad Kabbalistic Renaissance ennacted the prayer before performing Mitzvot Jewish observances, uniting Tiferet-Beauty, central principle in the male emotions (Zeir Anpin) with Malkuth-Kingship, the feminine Shechinah:
For the sake of the union of the Holy One, Blessed Be He, and His Shechinah; to unite the name Yud and Hei, with Vav and Hei in the name of all Israel-en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sephirot#Soul_faculties_and_Male-Female_principlesNow, this becomes somewhat difficult to understand, without some kind of 'context', but try to remember, always, the maxim "As above, so below", and, just as there was a 'division' of the 'physical' Man, Zeir Anpin, there occurred a 'division' or 'shattering' of 'vessels' in the 'higher realm' of spirit. Medieval Kabbalah depicts a linear descending hierarchy of Divine vitality, the sephirot emerging from the Ein Sof to enact Creation. Lurianic Kabbalah describes enclothing processes of exile and redemption in the Divine flow, where higher levels descend into lower states, as souls to spiritual bodies. The first emanation in Creation leads to spiritual shattering of Divinity in a definitive "catastrophe" (Shevirat HaKeilim - "The Shattering of the Vessels"), and the exile of its "sparks" into the descending created realms. Cordovero had reconciled previous opinions of the Sephirot by describing each as Divine Ohrot ("lights") invested in 10 spiritual Keilim ("vessels"), adapted by Luria to his scheme. In Lurianic Kabbalah, the first vessels of the Sephirot shatter due to the sublime intensity of the light. Because each of the Sephirot act as independent forces, Isaac Luria's attribution of the Iggulim (independent "Circles" arrangement of the Sephirot) without cooperation, their immature vessels are weak. From the destruction of this primordial realm, the World of Tohu ("Chaos"), is built the subsequent World of Tikun ("Rectification"), characterized by lower lights and stronger vessels. The sublime lights of Tohu withdraw into the Ein Sof, while their Sephirot vessels shatter down Creation. Sparks of the original high lights remain attached in exile to the descending fragments, and the Messianic task is the redemption of all the holy sparks of Tohu. In the World of Tikun in contrast, the Sephirot vessels are mature, stronger and act together in harmony. To this reformed state, Isaac Luria attributed the former Kabbalistic concepts of Yosher (harmonised "Upright" arrangement of the sephirot), and the many Zoharic passages expounding the Partzufim (Divine "Personas/Configurations"-particular Divine manifestations). Do you begin to see the 'parallels' or 'echoes' of what happened on a Universal scale in that which happened here, on the 'small-face' scale of Zer Anpin, or Adam? The vessel was 'shattered' by the separation... but, 'sparks' of the original 'high lights' remain 'attached in exile to the descending fragments', or 'descendants', on this smaller scale. Attached in exile... now, that sounds familiar. It is, in fact, the topic of most of the Psalms, which is really what makes them so 'magical'; the cry of that which is in 'exile' here for its return to that from which it was 'descended'... And, in reference to our staves of 'Beauty' and 'Bands', I am reminded of a passage from another Gnostic tract, to which I have previously referred, titled "The Thunder: Perfect Mind"... I am bride and groom, and my husband produced me. I am the mother of my father and sister of my husband, and he is my offspring. I am a slave of him who prepared me and ruler of my offspring. He produced me earlier yet on my birthday. He is my offspring to come, and from him is my power. I am the staff of his power in his youth and he the rod of my old age, and whatever he wants happens to me. I am a silence incomprehensible and an idea remembered often. I am the voice whose sound is manifold and word whose appearance is multiple. I am the utterance of my name.Mildly provocative... as well as the mention of "a slave of him who prepared me", since this brings me back to my "Castle of the Slave", or Qasr al-Abd, which was built by the Tobiads in Jordan, on a 'lake' (manmade, in this case, but important) for someone unknown, but who is assumed to return, possibly to this very castle, for a 'celebration' of some kind. At least, this is what the archaeological evidence points to... prominent in the architecture are jaguars, and eagles... and lions, with offspring... Now, the eagles and jaguars are said to be 'psychopomps', or conductors of the Spirit from the physical realm to the higher realms, interestingly... ...he May/June 2012 issue of Biblical Archaeology Review, proposes the ruin was actually the burial monument of the Tobiads, modeled after the mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
According to Rosenberg, Qasr al-Abd has many features characteristic of a monumental, Hellenistic-style mausoleum. First, the building’s two-story exterior is adorned with statues and carvings of various animals, including lions, eagles and panthers. Depictions of such powerful, majestic animals are often found in funerary contexts in the ancient world (including the mausoleum at Halicarnassus) and likely provided Qasr al-Abd, the burial monument of the Tobiads, with similar symbolism and meaning. Was Qasr al-Abd Modeled After the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus?
To the north of the Tobiads’ ‘Iraq al Amir estate are caves that were used to inter the family’s dead before the bones were finally deposited inside the mausoleum. The entrances to the caves are inscribed with the family name of the Tobiads. Photo by Erich Lessing.
Second, the ground floor of Qasr al-Abd is divided into small interior rooms that would have received little or no natural light. In contrast, the upper floor, which is only partially preserved, had an open roof and was surrounded by continuous rows of narrow pilasters that allowed plenty of light and fresh air to fill the upper rooms. The bottom floor may have been used as the family crypt of the Tobiads, while the upper floor was intended for feasts held in honor of the dead. Scholars believe the mausoleum at Halicarnassus functioned in a similar manner.
Finally, archaeologists have long known that Qasr al-Abd was surrounded by a small, manmade lake at the center of the ‘Iraq al Amir estate built by the Tobiads. Rosenberg believes the lake was an integral part of the mausoleum’s complex symbolism and emphasized the ritual separation between the world of the dead and the world of the living. Such lakes were common features of the monumental display tombs of the Hellenistic world.www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/biblical-sites-places/biblical-archaeology-sites/was-qasr-al-abd-modeled-after-the-mausoleum-at-halicarnassus/The importance of all of this has to do with a 'Grail Castle', really... and a 'lady of the lake', perhaps, and a figure named Parzival or Parsifal, who is the 'hero' of the story... and that name sounds very much like... "Partzufim (Divine "Personas/Configurations"-particular Divine manifestations)." And a 'repair' or 'restoration' process of a 'broken vessel', such as the Fisher King (so-called) might have been... it was a problem with his 'thigh', I believe... or 'generative' powers. And then, there is its 'reflection' at Halicarnassus... 'Spirits of Ancient Egypt'... So many parallels... Perfect...

You'll all get to your destination."Thank you so much for being here, 'friend'... I do appreciate your presence, and feel quite honored that you should care to spend your own time following my thoughts at all. It is not only that I should think to 'put right' the injustices that I perceive in this portion of my own 'existence', but that injustice has dogged mankind for so many years, and so determinedly,- and I see that there may be a 'remedy' offered, and available, for this mal-aise from which so many men seem to suffer. And, if there were, wouldn't it seem incumbent upon us, as 'thinking creatures,' not to mention 'ensouled creatures', to find this remedy... in whatever form it may exist? Is this not the oath that physicians take, even today...? To apply themselves to the 'healing process', for man and beast, and even, perhaps, the earth itself...? These thoughts are not new, of course, but I can't help feeling that there is a greater/Great 'truth' in it, and that seeking anything less than the Truth, about ourselves and the Universe that we operate within, is doing every man a very great injustice. And I can understand that on a 'personal level', as well... It's also quite coincidental that you should mention 'destinations', since I hadn't seen your post prior to my last reply... but since you mention it... My main proposition is, that "a Mind really is a terrible thing to waste", and if I am in possession of one of my own, that is a good start, but if I can 'connect' to... a higher frequency, let's say... what might be possible, under those circumstances? And I honestly do believe that it is simple as having applied yourself to the desire for the 'connection' (and, as in the case of a 'primitive' radio 'receiver' set, receiving 'information' in the form of 'waves' in the air is as basic as the congenial placement of a crystal and a cat whisker); otherwise, you can easily be satisfied to continue to operate smoothly enough at the lower frequency that you occupy here by 'default', I suppose... I'm sure that the fabled "Dionysian Artificers" would approve of the notion of a 'stage-play', and from them, I am proud to take my 'answer' to your post, as a 'raison d'etre' for my 'personal' search,- and beyond that, it is said that "All the world is but a stage, and the men and women merely players..." The 'play' having been previously written, and parts cast, but the players are mostly unaware of the 'program'... or even the 'theatre' that they are operating in. Which makes it all very interesting, don't you think...? When men were deprived of the light of revelation, those who formed systems of morality to guide their fellow creatures, according to the dictates of improved reason, deserved the thanks of mankind, however deficient those systems might be, or time may have altered them; respect, not derision, ought to attend the efforts of those good men; though their labours might have proved unavailing.
In this point of view must be considered an association, traced to the most remote antiquity, and preserved through numberless viscissitudes, yet retaining the original marks of its foundation, scope, and tenets.
It appears, that, at a very early period, some contemplative men were desirous of deducting from the observation of nature, moral rules for the conduct of mankind. Astronomy was the science selected for this purpose; architecture was afterwards called in aid of this system; and its followers formed a society or sect, which will be the object of this enquiry.
The continuity of this system will be found sometimes broken, a natural effect of conflicting theories, of the alteration of manners, and of change of circumstances, but it will make its appearances at different periods, and the same truth will be seen constantly. From "The History of the Dionysian Artificers, A Fragment" by Hippolyto Joseph Da Costa www.sacred-texts.com/cla/dart/dart00.htmYou say that the 'truth' cannot be found... and I say that it lies directly before your face, and beneath your feet. Which is, it appears, to be the last place that anyone would think to look for it. It is there. Even if the 'truth' of this particular theatre is that it is only a temporary 'staging area' for a Higher Truth; and that seems to be at least part of the message that I am receiving. And maybe, we could even say, 'Thank goodness'... Thank you again, for everything... and please, by all means, I am hoping that you can hang around for what remains to be 'found'... 'Kinship', eh...? Am I to read between the lines on that one, too...? That's a big pile of hair, if you ask me... Three bags full... at least... we could probably fill a 'comforter' with it. Lololol... As you like it, eh...? Well, how do you like that? Steve Perry has my haircut... True... And a rockin' jukebox, too, evidently... Let's don't think of it as an 'interruption' in the 'program', but how about... An 'intermission'? Meet you in the lobby... I'll have popcorn,- extra butter. Maybe I can smoke in the boys' room while we're at it... ROFL... Now, for our second feature... lolol... From the album, "My Aim is True"... Yep. She just loves Elvis... Now, I think I'll edit the post above this one with the other 'information' that I wanted to share tonight, and a 'toast' to 'good timing' while we're here, for old times' sake, eh...? Red wine? or water...? Or both...?

That is very interesting... and thank you for sharing that 'tidbit' of your enlightenment (process) with me. I appreciate any 'light' that might be shed on these 'dark corners', so to speak, and it certainly proves the wisdom of not putting your candle under a bushel basket... It will start a heck of a fire, for one thing... And if you have any idea where it is that I should be headed, by all means, feel free to 'take me there'. I have to tell you that so far, every man that I've run up on has had many and various ideas of where it is that I should be headed, but neither the 'intent' nor the 'ability' to take me there. And I thought that was interesting, too... but, here I am, trying to remind Man where he came from... I hope that's working for you, at least. And personally, I'd like to think that I was right about something, after all... lolol... And as far as 'reverence as a goddess' goes, the high-tops seem to work against it. Well, that and other 'disappointing' factors in regard to my own persona, I'm sure... but that's all right. 'Imaginary friends' tend to ignore these things... mostly... Here is a 'tidbit' for you, with my best regards, from one of my own 'teachers'... If one is a dragon... one might expect to have 'dragon-breath'. It's what they do... And watch the sneeze. The 'singing sword' is 'playing' Aloha Oi ... lol...

Well, hello again... I thought that this would be a perfect post number to take up our next card, which is numbered 8, and denominated with the title of "Strength". For one thing, we're at post number 120 8, and less obviously, we have introduced the 'subject' of this card with the 'entry' of our staff named "Bands". If you will remember, I have found that "Bands" refers to the woman, or 'female aspect' of the Zeir Anpin', or 'small face' of 'God', below, and I can find my 'confirmation' for this thought in the symbolism of the card, itself,- You see that 'she' wears the identical 'nimbus' as our Magician, who represents 'Beauty' in this 'thesis', and the 'lion' represents, I believe, "The Lion of Judah", which is referred to by so many of the prophets, and seen in the stonework of the "Castle of the Slave", as shown above, with 'descendants'... which reminds me of something... oh, yes.. That was just for fun... but notice that he is also carrying a 'staff'... which is representative of 'communication' or a 'messenger', and this means that when these particular 'staffs' were 'broken', communication was 'disrupted', as Man was subsequently unable to communicate 'directly' with 'God', as he had previously been able... I hope this one turns out... you see that the symbolism has 'changed'... In what is, I understand, the earlier version, above, the lion's mouth is being opened, you see? While in the more familiar, later version, the lion's mouth is being closed. And I think that is very interesting, too... Not by might, nor by power, saith the Lord; but by my Spirit...Strength... fortitude... tenacity, even... As in, "Tenacious D", maybe... Last 'edit time' was 12:08... for those of you who enjoy the 'updates'... just sayin'... Now, in regard to our number '8' card of Strength, and speaking of 'family ties' to certain 'trains of thought', I suppose... there is this family crest, the same grandmother's name, coincidentally, which says that "A Stroked Cat is Gentle". I know that I've shown you this one before... That's just a 'happy coincidence', I know, but it gives me 'food for thought', nevertheless... especially in connection to this card. As a matter of fact, it brings me fairly directly to this thought... From strength, sweetness... Which is where our 'honey' comes in... Right, 'Patron'? And that brings us back to 'Samson' (our 'strong man', yes?), and his bringing the honeycomb out of the 'carcass' of the lion... he gave it to his parents, who 'consumed it', because he didn't tell them the source,- if he had, I have a feeling that they wouldn't have even tried it. It was 'good'... but who would have believed it, right? There's a message in that, alone... I see that this lion is being 'led' by a chain of roses... And that same mountain is visible in the background,- There is more to say on this subject... strength, not sugar... But hay... how about some Def Leppard? Perfect. Ooooh... somebody gotz a sledgehammer... Marge...? "I'm just like Marge..." Lolol... Oh, hay... I was going to say that I came for the music... but, never mind... I've got music... This is a good one,- I like this one, too... I took a couple of days to rest, and put up my own little tree. I'm pretty happy with it... and I've got things to do again today, so I thought that maybe I should take a few minutes to 'update' my journal; I'd like to move on quickly, since we have some really interesting things to uncover, I think. As far as the holidays go, I like to think of them as times to 'remember'... and I do. The sky was beautiful this morning,- the moon made 'horns'... a crescent... and Venus was huge and bright, to the lower left. A star, a star, shining in the night... May it bring us Goodness and Light. Anyway, let's go on with 'Strength' or 'Fortitude', as it is alternately known. Now, the particular 'trait' of 'fortitude' is called into play when one is expected (by circumstance or necessity) to endure a long-standing position of hardship, or misfortune. Most people can endure things for the short-term, without having to employ 'fortitude',- and thank goodness, since most of us tend to be quite impatient, as it turns out, and basically feel that all 'time' is 'our time', so that if things don't happen quickly enough (within your own time frame, or timetable), they lose their importance to you. Unfortunately, there are other, longer 'timetables' at work in the Universe, and sometimes it takes what seems like 'forever' for some of these 'wheels to turn', and this is where 'fortitude' comes into the picture... You just have to keep believing, even when everything in this moment seems to look pretty contrary to what you were 'told' was going to happen... and I suppose that this is where 'faith' comes in. And then, you have to stand, and remain, strong in that Hope... to the 'end'... wherever that turns out to be. And this position of 'Fortitude' or 'Strength' is exactly what I would describe as the position of a certain group of people, known to man only as the 'Prisoners of hope',- and known to history as barely a memory. 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.Zechariah, chapter 9 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold... Not 'flock', necessarily, but 'fold',- which means that they are being 'kept' somewhere else... in another 'place'. Now, in our "Tarot of the Bohemians", the eighth card is referred to as "Justice", which is also rather enlightening, I think, under the circumstances, and better explained, perhaps, by this quote,- The eighth card of the Tarot represents the conception in preservative of the second card. It synthetizes in itself the meaning of the second and of the fifth card of the Tarot, and represents the reflex of the seventh. It signifies--
1. In the Divine. God the Son of the 2nd septenary. The woman fulfilling the functions of God the Son.Lifted up, as the stones of a crown... It's a beautiful thought... And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth. (Is. 22.22) 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. From the third chapter of the book of 'Revelations'... And from the first chapter, we have these words,- I am Alpha and Ome'ga, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Per'gamos, and unto Thy-ati'ra, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto La-odice'a. 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter...Now, I think that's just interesting... As far as Justice goes... I 'love' that song...

Here's some little tidbits from two of my favourite teachers, concerning the core of our teachings. It is wonderful that the one who takes one from darkness to light has been found. Otherwise there would be death - meaning: there would be no escape from birth and death. The purpose of this body is to be free from birth and death. If the knowledge of atman does not happen in this body, then there is death, verily.
What kind of death is this? Like when flying insects, upon seeing the light of a lamp, fall into it because they think that there is no other light as complete (fulfilling) as this. Thus deluded, they fall into (the flame) and burn and die. In the same way, human beings, unable to see the self (atman), are burning and dying in the flash and filigree of this false (round of worldly existence/maya/samsara), because they think that the pleasures and indulgences of the world make up the most complete happiness, and that other than this there is nothing that is good (fulfilling).
But because of finding (the one who takes one from darkness to light/guru='gu' aka darkness and ‘ru’ aka light), one has seen the delusion, and has been saved from such a death.
- Shama ChurnStudent - "Guruji, in the olden times, was it not like a sect? It was still called Nath samapradaya?” ['samapradaya' commonly means a group] Guruji - (Shri Shailendra Sharma) : "See, samapradaya means 'to give equally' -sama means 'equal', pradaya means 'to give'. Basically to teach what we have learned ourselves. Now if you are teaching equally, you’d have to follow the strict discipline, along with all the pledges. These days it has nothing to do with teaching equally. Now it means a cult or a group. Now yoga traditions were the only true samapradaya, because if you don’t teach what you’ve practiced, how would anybody learn? It was never about creating followers, or have disciples lie at the feet of the guru, getting kicked around, in the hope that one day guru would wake up and with one blessing turn their life around.
And the guru would know that if he told the disciple whatever little he knew himself - some mantra or something else - then the disciple wouldn’t give a damn about him anymore. So they’d continue to keep it a secret. This is exactly what has happened in most tantric traditions.
There have been so many cults around Bhakti (devotion). Why do you think that the only display of power was done by people who started these cults, and not by their subsequent followers? That is because they used to practice something else and taught their followers something else.
Only in yoga one teaches what one practices, and that is true samapradayikta, whatever be its definition today. Otherwise, the standards could not be maintained. This approach is nowhere else. Even Yogananda didn’t teach what he himself learned. The teachings should never be trifled with! Nobody is born such a genius that they could better the results arrived at by the old masters. After so many austerities and hard work they extracted the essence of these techniques and passed down that essence to their future generations. Why be a wise-ass and corrupt that knowledge? Only if you follow the instructions exactly as given you'll get the results, not otherwise. That’s why there aren’t so many yoga traditions, only a couple. There are many meditation groups, but they are not becoming yogis. Only when you follow the yogic way of life with all its discipline, and then someone tells you the mysteries of these teachings, the awareness will develop."
"Kabir sangshay khaya sakal jag, sangshay koi na khaay jo bedha guru acchar, so sangshay chuni khaay." (Number 9 of Kabir’s couplets)
Translation: Kabir is saying that the entire world is being eaten up by doubt and uncertainty - meaning: Everyone is living in doubt and uncertainty - but no one is eating up doubt and uncertainty. One who has found out the difference between the world/guru and the 'imperishable self’ is thoroughly chewing up and eating doubt and uncertainty.
Comments by Shama Churn: "Upon becoming restless, the atman-self’s mind is going in two directions, sometimes to (god/absolute/the “real"), sometimes to (samsara/maya/illusion). Sometimes he thinks that samsara is real and sometimes he thinks that god is real. But in both are doubt and uncertainty. Because of mind being in two places, two yoni’s (wombs) are there. One is the Brahman-yoni Lord, but there is a complete movement away from that - meaning: one is moving from being united, to another “thing”.
When mind moves from one substance to another thing, then that second thing takes birth - meaning: a desire forms in that. It is like when a man and woman become attracted to each other and he enters her, and they themselves take birth in her womb, but find doubt in accepting the child as themselves, in the same way, this great doubt is eating up the world. What this means is: (god/absolute/the “real”) is everywhere; atman (self) is also everywhere.
Wherever there is atman, there is also jiva (individual soul). And within all individuals is this doubt and uncertainty. Engrossed in thinking about this - meaning: does brahamn exist or not - they are dying in the constant doubting of this. But no one is eating up this doubt. When the mind becomes restless, doubt comes around. When man, attracted to woman, enters her, at that time he is restless. Thus, not knowing the true nature, a doubt takes place. In that same way, because of the constant doubting “is there (god/absolute/ the 'real') or not” birth and death are taking place.
When this restlessness become still, then doubt itself is eaten up - meaning: if there is stillness, then who is there to doubt? The person who, via the self, has seen Kutastha from the self, and has entered into the particle of Kutastha and has seen the three worlds along with himself within that (the three worlds), and has made everything one - his name is “bedha” = “bheda” (distinct knowing). He thoroughly chews up and eats doubt.
When one sees that the three worlds are within himself, and within the three worlds sees himself, then oneness is. Doubt is in the dual - meaning: is there a god or not? When oneness is, then doubt is eaten up.
It is like when a bird opens the two lips of his beak to take food, and at the time of swallowing closes the beak - meaning: it makes the two lips one - “is there a god or not” is when the two lips are open, and when doubt goes away, there is one brahman stillness - meaning: doubt is swallowed up. Then the two lips of the beak become one and no longer remain two."
Student - 'What is Karmayoga?' Shama Churn - 'The action which causes a union with god is 'Karma (action)' and to remain united with that karma incessantly is 'Karmayoga (action-union, Kriyayoga)'. Others are all inactions. God is not an object who has descended from the sky, this is a state. This is the still state of 'prana (life force)'. Still prana in a living being deriving vibration has assumed the forms of intelligence, mind, senses, etc.. and remains enchanted by this. This is a living being's deviated state from his original form or else this is the state of declension from still prana to dynamic prana. Stillness is a living being's original form. Dynamism represents a living being and stillness represents shiva (absolute/"god"). Therefore the action which terminates that dynamism and reverts a living being again to stillness or the action that causes a living beings state to be extinct and elevates him to the state of shiva, is known as karma yoga. Nothing occurs without action. Whatever we desire to obtain or give are termed to be action. Without action nothing can be acquired, thus without action god also cannot be obtained; implying stillness cannot be achieved. Some action must to be performed to achieve god. Can god be found through the medium of different types of actions performed materialistically? Certainly not, because a little of these types of actions are performed by all. Then why do they not find god? Japa (mantras), vows, fasting, chanting together, virtuous acts, undertaking pilgrimages, helping others, serving guests, compassion for living beings, etc.. are all actions which are performed by everyone in small degrees, but then why do they not obtain god? Thus god cannot be achieved by performing these actions because these actions are incapable of causing soul-visualization. But performing these actions purifies the mind of man, these act as aids in the path of sadhana. Thus these actions are necessary. Action will produce consequences, this is the disposition of action. Evil actions produce bad consequences and for good actions good consequences are inevitable. The results produced are in equation to actions performed. Just as, if hunger is to be appeased the action of taking food is necessary, and other action will not be feasible. Similarly to attain soul-realization, atmakarma (soul-action) is necessary. The gita says: "samnyasastu mahabaha duhkshamaptumyogatah" - meaning: Dear arjuna, barring karma yoga (yoga of action), achieving renunciation is impossible. The state beyond action can be termed to be true renunciation. Then actions are absent. This state of renunciation can be attained through action only. Nothing can be achieved without action."'
"This Kriyayogaic breathing action is an ancient science. In almost every line of Vedas, Upanishads, Gita and the sastra of Tantrayoga, their esotericism and expedience ave been expounded. The symbol of yoga is reflected in regular worship and in all types of religious actions. At present, just as the deities are concealed under the symbols, similarly under the influence of superficial worship, "The true obeisance/worship/union/soul action" has become concealed.
With regard to the puranic historical viewpoint, Krishna imparted this yoga to Arjuna. Many great souls had practised sadhana in this path of yoga throughout the world and achieved immense spiritual fulfilment. Among them the renowned were Kapil muni, King Janaka, Vyasadeva, Sukhdeva, Patanjala, Socrates, Jesus Christ, Saint John, Saint Paul, Dadudayal, Kabir, Ruhidas, Nanak, Jnaneswar, Tukaram, Ramdas Swami, Ramprasad Sen, Gautama Buddha, Mahavira Jain, etc.. God has stated that when he had once descended in the past, he had imparted this sublime imperishable yoga technique to the Soul-Sun (Surya). Surya had given it to Manu and Manu to Ikshaku. The great sages in this manner handed down this yoga to successive generations; but the yoga has lost its significance due to the onslaught of time.
Thus the still Pranaic PranaKrishna (Literally the term 'Krishna' is an noun but yogically it is a verb. As a verb the term 'Krishna' connotes that a yogi has to cultivate his body-field for annihilating dynamism and attaining stillness), had imparted this immortal yoga to Surya. Prana is Surya (Soul-Sun); the motion of Prana occurs in the Ida and Pingala and this Pingala is known as the sun nerve and Ida is known as the moon nerve.
Therefore the airflow of Prana within the Pingala nerve is Surya. God mentioned to Surya or else that inexpressible state of the still PranaKrishna by entering the nerve of the sun in the form of dynamism, manifested himself dynamically or the sill Pranaic PranaKrishna who reveals himself as the dynamic Prana in the nerve of the sun is the explicit state of yoga. After this Surya imparted this to Manu (Manu means the mind).
When Prana becomes vibratory, this vibratory state acquires a designation of the mind and that mind becomes the expressive state of imperishable yoga in that designation. The still state of air is the state of yoga union. From that still state, vibration evolved and in the sun nerve and mind the state of expression or manifestation of yoga appeared. This is clarified thus, the still Pranalike soul driving vibration was expressed as Surya in the Pingala form, from the Surya to the mind, form the mind to Ikshaku signifying that this sublime eternal yoga became manifest within the external air of the nose.
Amidst the fourfold lives from celibacy to relinquishment of four social orders, the yoga-culture was positively maintained by people belonging to the different strata of society. Almost all the kings of the Raghu dynasty eventually departed abiding by the path of yoga. That sequence in our country was unimpaired till the time of the great poet Kalidasa.
In the first great epic of the Raghu dynasty the evidence of this fact can be underlined from the statement "Yoganantye tanutyajam" Later due to the onslaught of time it became extinct. The avatars preached this sublime yoga sadhana to humanity by again disentangling it from the clutches of time, by amending its austerities and making it suitable for the present spiritually debilitated mankind. This is their supreme bestowal to the whole of humanity and to the universal storehouse of knowledge."
-Shama Churn
Kriya-yoga (Action-Union/true Karma-yoga, "soul action") has five items - Talavya, Pranayama, Nabhikriya, Yonimudra and Mahamudra. These five item total the first chapter of Kriya-yoga.
When a devotee can complete the first chapter he is eligible to obtain the second chapter. In total, Kriya-yoga has six chapters. Omkara-kriya features from the second till the sixth chapter. The mystery of Kriya-yoga sadhana can be derived exclusively from the guru.
Through Talavya, the obstruction of the toungue is released; through Pranayama, Prana and Apana airs are stilled; through Nabhikriya, Samana air achieves a state of evenness; through Yonimudra, soul-realization occurs and through Mahamudra, Vyana and Udana airs achieve a state of settlement.
By conquering the five Pranas in this manner, settling in the void essence at Kutastha and by arriving at the state beyond action the Kriyaban is capable of wandering in the realm of his self.
- Shama Churn“Focused and remaining in the transcendental state of kriya - that state is one of darkness and sleep for all of the phenomenal world, and that state which all people who are looking with attachment and perceiving as the waking state - the “munis" (sages), meaning those who have spontaneously become “mouni” (mute) - who do not have the desire to say anything - they see them (people of worldly perspective) as being in darkness, meaning sleep.” "If atmakarma is regularly practised, one day you will reach the state beyond all actions, or the source or origin which is the objective and then you will have a communion with the infinite soul and realize yourself." "This path of sadhana is scripturally regarded as soul-knowledge, spiritual knowledge or brahma-knowledge. (Shama Churn named it Kriyayoga or kriya) This kriyayoga is logical and scientific. The fact that it is entirely scientific is because it is described to be as accurate as mathematics." "Kriya means action. the karma yoga of the gita is kriyayoga. Karma also infers action. Nothing can be achieved without action, therefore much stress has been laid on karma yoga in the gita. The name of kriyayoga has been mentioned in the Patanjala yoga philosophy and in many other places in the sastras." "The soul within you is the soul which pervades all elements. Therefore the soul of all the elements exists within you. There is no difference, thus it is you who becomes the all pervasive soul, "Jagannatha (master of the universe)". The moment you specially realize this in kriya's transcendental state, you can realize the mental inclinations of everybody and it is then by achieving omniscience you will automatically learn about the attributes and actions of all elements. Then by being omnipotent all action can be performed with a non-desirable wish.
By this type of profound Kriya, realization of the subtlest of the subtle (molecule like) self occurs, leading to the removal of pride and a pride-less state will be achieved. You are Kutastha, pay reverence to him, it is repeated again - pay reverence to him. Do non desist from paying this reverence because you only are kutastha-like almighty soul and you are beyond the five essences, the mind, intellect and self conceit. When you become one in kriya's transcendental state then you only are the supreme pervading the universe, without you the world does not exist, thus good, evil, and imagination do not exist.
If you attain oneness, you are the imperishable and indestructible one, the tranquil pure consciousness and immortal. Then where are your birth, action, propensity and pride? Therefore by abandoning the divisions of this and the fact that everything is the self, become doubtless positively about this in the transcendental state of kriya. You are perceiving the world because you are not within yourself, but in kriya's transcendental state when you will remain within yourself then you only will become the reality.
Just for once contemplate on the fact that barring you, everything is absent, you are materialistic and non-materialistic because when you concentrate on extraneous matters you are materialistic, again by remaining within yourself or in the transcendental state of kriya, you are non-materialistic. Everything evolves in this universe in accordance with your volition; in kriya's transcendental state after the cessation of desires you will positively know that the universe is a fallacy merely and by obtaining the knowledge that the entire universe is pervaded by brahma you will attain equilibrium. Then you are neither in bondage nor are liberated and being crowned with success in this manner you will wander in beatitude, this is the maxim of kriyayoga."-Shama Churn Hopefully that will be a sufficient introduction to my "work". More hopefully, I'll have the time to read it all anytime soon,- gloriosky... did you really type all of that yourself? If so, I bow to your own 'tenacity', sir... and/or madame... as you will. I can't tell. It's the helmet... You know, I'm still Lucky that I can do some yoga... I have to tell you that I have my own 'understanding' of things, and it's not that I don't wish for you to find your own 'way' to where ever it is that you're headed, by whatever means possible,- it's just that I really wish that you'd do me the same favor. Just sayin'... I know I told you the story about my grandmother's name, and how, when she was born, she ended up with two "men's" names... and she did. The 'tradition' stated that, if you gave a girl a "man's" name, she would be doubly beautiful, and so... she was given two... Now, this is just kind of a quaint story, until you stop to realize that in Kabbalistic thought, 'beauty' is a 'male' attribute on the Sephirotic 'tree'. What that all tells me, is that they did, actually, understand and employ Kabbalistic symbolism as 'tradition', and I am fairly justified in my own thought that this 'understanding' is... genetic. Therefore, I find it difficult to 'override', in favor of your own 'tradition' of thought. I can only defer to your particular 'mastery' of the universe, and your own happiness with whatever your place is in it... and so I do. I bought 'tic-tac's'... I know they're here somewhere... and believe me, 'friend', I sympathize with what you're sayin'... I am totally praying that 'Hel' will be sanitized for your own protection... The thing is, really, is that under the circumstances, my concern for anybody's 'desire' to throw me down and do it like a rabbit right now is fairly minimal. Yes, I'm lonely... but that wasn't exactly where I was headed... first... and let's face it... we all have our own particular and individual 'crosses to bear', don't we? I will be good enough not to dwell on those, if you will do the same. And then, please refer to the video production in which we learn that "honey badger just don't give a shit". Lololol... Hay, look... it's a 'Cheap Trick' for Christmas... I'll take it. I forgot... I meant to play this... Lolol... 'Hel'en Wheels... maybe we can hang one of those little pine trees... Crazy...

Yes, Santa Claus... ...there is a Virginia. It looks like I have some catching up to do... I always mean to get right back to it, and then, the time goes by too quickly. I really do enjoy the music... Let's continue by reading the description of the eighth card, 'Strength', or Fortitude... A woman, over whose head broods the same symbol of life which we have seen in the card of the Magician, is closing the jaws of a lion. The only point in which this design differs from the conventional presentations is that her beneficent fortitude has already subdued the lion, which is being led by a chain of flowers. For reasons which satisfy myself, this card has been interchanged with that of justice, which is usually numbered eight. As the variation carries nothing with it which will signify to the reader, there is no cause for explanation. Fortitude, in one of its most exalted aspects, is connected with the Divine Mystery of Union; the virtue, of course, operates on all planes, and hence draws on all in its symbolism. It connects also with 'innocentia inviolata' and with the strength which resides in contemplation.
These higher meanings are, however, matters of inference, and I do not suggest that they are transparent on the surface of the card. They are intimated in a concealed manner by the chain of flowers, which signifies, among many other things, the sweet yoke and the light burden of Divine Law, when it has been taken into the heart of hearts. The card has nothing to do with self-confidence in the ordinary sense, though this has been suggested - but it concerns the confidence of those strength is God, who have found their refuge in Him. There is one aspect in which the lion signifies the passions, and she who is called Strength is the higher nature in its liberation. It has walked upon the asp and the basilisk and has trodden down the lion and the dragon. Those are all alchemical symbols, by the way... interestingly... Now, Papus tells us that the 'primitive hieroglyph' associated with the card of 'justice' is "a field"... It has further to do with the 'restoration' and 'preservation' of Nature. I just thought that was interesting... mildly provocative, even... And so, we will leave justice to do its work, while we progress on to our number 9...
