So, once again, we are faced with untangling this seemingly 'endless knot,' with which our arms have been so effectively tied... and rendering us basically 'powerless.' This is 'Lucifer,' as shown at Rosslyn Chapel... At one time, his 'fortunes' were somewhat reversed... but something happened... and he, and his 'son(s),' and 'princes' (remember the 250 men that appeared with Korah? 'Princes of the people, and men of renown') were sent... to hell... or alive, to the 'abyss'... the 'pit.' And this is where the 'legend' of Lucifer as the 'king of Hell' originated,- after 'he' was made to 'take up residence' there, by a 'brother'... or cousin, actually, I believe, as the stories seem to go. They say that he became 'proud,' and that maybe... it was a necessary 'time of reflection.' At any rate, the stories also seem to relate that they remained 'true' to 'God,' even when placed in the most 'adverse' of circumstances... as was Job, by the way. In other words, they retained their original understanding of 'God,' and those scientific (alchemical) principles which had been entrusted to them, and do so, to this day... faithful and true, even in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. And now, the ones that were responsible for this 'punishment,' have somewhat to answer for, since they have been busy in the "Devil's" 'absence,' playing the parts of both 'God' and 'Devil,' and in the process, denying all parties both Knowledge and Justice, and ultimately, their redemption... Bad juju... bad magick... But you know I can't 'prove' any of that, either... Yet.

And, so, since I can't post images as 'hermethena,' so let's go on with our Goose-girl, or Goose-footed Queen... La Reine Pedauque, I believe, which even sounds like 'Lorraine'... lol... and I think that it must have at least somewhat to do with Marie De Guise, and more, perhaps, but she is a Good place to begin... See her here, dressed in black, which, it is said, was the color that she favored... and she liked to gamble... imagine that... Now, here is the Crest of the House of Lorraine... several things should be apparent to you, immediately. That double-headed eagle (black) looks familiar, don't you think...? Oh, I do... And then... I can't help thinking that the whole 'double-headed' symbolism points, once again to Jupiter Ammon... And something else... watch, now... And again... But I digress... or not... At any rate, she favored the color 'black;' and the color 'black' is that of the 'Black Madonna,' as well as the same 'black' Min... and where heraldry is concerned, the 'colors' are meaningful. A very interesting woman. Indeed.

Now... let's take another look at that 'black sheep'... These images are 'illuminations' from a text known as the 'Bamberg Apocalypse,' which means... revealing, or unveiling. Provocative, yes...? Yes. And, as I've remarked previously, if you hadn't noticed, the 'book' that the 'black sheep' is holding is open... 'unsealed,' if you Will... How do you like that? I liked that... very much. Just for the 'serendipity,' if for no other reason... it got to be the 'black sheep'...
